Sveta Nedjelja - a small quiet place on the south side of the island of Hvar,Dalmatia. It is located below Sv. Nicholas, which is the highest peak of the island with its 626 meters, and about 12 km east of the town of Hvar. There are about 150 inhabitants living in the area, mainly engaged in wine growing, olive growing and tourism.
The cave, located above Holy Sunday, was inhabited since the Neolithic era. In this cave, the Augustinians built a monastery and a small church in the 15th century. The monastery left in 1787, and the church remained in use until 1823 when a new one was completed. Remains of the monasteries have been preserved until now, while the church has been preserved in its entirety. Visitors can easily reach the cave, and climb to it is more than worth it due to the magnificent views of the Holy Week and its vineyards, the island of Korcula and the open sea.

In the immediate vicinity of the village there are numerous tall, steep cliffs, so it is a popular destination for those who like free climbing.
