General overview
Every room has a view and we have five decks to enjoy. We have a hot-tub, fire place, hammock swing, covered BBQ, kayaks and paddleboards.
We are on an inlet so you have the best of the ocean- whales, seals, eagles, blue heron, dolphins and tides- yet the calmness of a lake.
We are a short 13 min drive to the popular village of Sechelt that has every amenity. And Sechelt is only a 40 min ferry ride from Vancouver.
The space
Very well built custom home. The main floor has open living room, dining room and kitchen with island, along with a washroom, pantry and large office space. Outside the doors of the main level you'll find 3 decks (one covered where the BBQ stands).
Upstairs you'll find three bedrooms and two baths as well as a home gym.
The lower level includes a one bedroom suite with its own kitchen and balcony, and walk way to the oceanfront.
As you head toward the waterfront, you come to another deck, hot tub and a boat house, and down the ramp to the dock where you can launch your kayaks and paddleboards.
Guest access
Access is via coded locks. Our driveway is steep but every vehicle can easy make it.
Notes
The driveway is steep but every car type makes it up and down (we also have a stairway through the woods from the house to the street). We actually like the privacy that comes with a steep driveway.
Going from the house to the waterfront includes three sets of stairs so it’s unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility issues.

Sandra & Ron
We are Ron and Sandra, two almost retired professors on sabbatical. We have done lots of Airbnb rentals with our home but never tried an exchange. We are the proud parents of Tah, a very well behaved and affectionate Standard Poodle who could ideally stay behind to help our guests in some cases (he's extremely friendly), or come with us for others (depending on whether we can drive with him or not).
"Our adult daughter lives in Seattle so open any time to a long weekend visit (ideally if we can bring our standard poodle)."
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
