The house is small, but very cozy! I love bringing souveniers from the places I visit so you will find many details from different parts of the world. It has been completely renovated 5 years ago, so the furniture is new - well except of those old pieces that I love, of course!
The space
The house accomodates 3, so it is perfect for a family with one child. Unless somebody is willing to sleep on the couch - it has been done in the past, so I can attest that it is possible and not that unconfortable.
I have a very small garden with some herbs and occasionally some vegetables. Eating outside on the terrace is my favourite thing to do when the days are nice. From the garden there is access to a popular walking path.
Guest access
Living room, kitchen, utility and a toilet are in ground floor, while in the first flore there are 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed and balcony and a childrens bedroom), a small study room and the bathroom.

The house is located in a calm town 10 min away from a forest, so it is perfect for shorter or longer walks.
If you have a car, this is a perfect place to discover the western part of Slovenia and even Italy. The Italian coast is 30 min away, and the Slovenian 1 hour away. In one hour you also get to the mountains and to the capita Ljubljana. For the wine and food lovers, Goriška Brda and Vipava Valley are the pace to go - both less than 30 min away! Gorgeous hills and small villages reminding of Tuscany! Another beautiful spot is the Soča Valley - one of the most beautiful clear blue rivers that you will ever see!

Getting to my home
The house is located in the town not far from the train and bus station. If you have a car, there is a parking space in front of the house. Due to the inefficient publict transport access from the airport is not that great, well depends on which airport you are using. To commute from the airport we usually use the service www.goopti.com, which can bring you directly to the house.
Nearest airport
The nearest airport is Ronchi (Trieste - cca 30 min by car), Venice Marco Polo, Venice Treviso and Ljubljana (Slovenia) - all three approx 1.5 hour by car. Trai station and bus station are both approx 10 min by walk.
Getting around
Shops are on walking distance, smaller shops 5 min away, larger shopping mall 10 min by walk. The house is located 200 m from the Italian border so it is easy to walk to the lovely city of Gorizia, too.

I will be happy to go for a coffee, drink or dinner - or I am happy also to invite you over for a dinner (as long as your group is too big to fit into my house :) I can also show you the surroundings, especially if you like hiking in the nature.

Ziva
Hi! My name is Ziva and I am a university teacher of botany. I am from Slovenia, living in a small town 200 m from the border with Italy, which I really enjoy! I live with my teenage daugter, a cat of a respectable age of 15 years and a hairless mexican dog, who actually has a lot of hair. We love to travel and have visited many places around the world.
