We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Fiona’s house. Her house was very clean and comfortable. It is beautifully situated with great views of the surrounding rolling hills and lush green fields full of dairy cows. It was the perfect place for us to explore all of the Northland region, Bay of Islands, Russel, Waitangi, Cape Renga etc. Whangarei was only a 10min drive for grocery shopping or eating out and we enjoyed being close to some of the most incredible white sand beaches our favorite being Matapouri. Although we didn’t meet Fiona she was easy to communicate with and quick to reply to any of our questions and we felt very spoiled when her partner Dion dropped off fresh caught snapper for us to enjoy! It was so delicious! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What a joy to have Fiona and Dion as our first exchange partners . Our email exchanges and subsequent calls were engaging ( and fun !) and gave us a sense of who would be staying in our home . They were fabulous guests .. respectful and very kind hearted. It was fun for us to hear how much they were enjoying our place and taking advantage of the beautiful area. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone thinking of a PLU exchange .

My partner and I had the most amazing holiday at Susan and Robs home in Karikari Peninsula. We spent 5 nights in their beautiful home with amazing views over Kohanga Bay and you can launch your boat just 1 minute away at Rangiputa Beach. The location couldn’t have been better and the home is beautifully decorated and you can see the love they put into it. We enjoyed collecting Tuatua’s at Puheke, surfing at Rarawa and fishing off Motutara. Sue and Rob are the kindest hosts and we are forever grateful for sharing your home with us 🙏

Fiona and Gary were the perfect guests! And our first time hosting through Home Exchange. They made it a great experience. Communication was great throughout, they respected the property, left it extremely neat and tidy, very polite and thoughtful, even leaving a kind gift on departure. I didn’t get to meet in person as I was away at work at the time, would loved to have been able to meet. Thank you so much for your stay and the great experience.
