Whangarei is also known as the gateway to the beautiful Bay of Islands. 
Come and base yourself here, in New Zealand's most northern city while exploring the North.

Relax in this newly built, modern, tranquil, semi-rural home, set on a half acre block with rural views. 

Its only a 5 mins drive to Te Kamo, the nearest village and only 15 mins to the city centre. 

Northland Golf Club is a couple kms away and its just a 30 minute scenic drive to some of Northlands best beaches.

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Fiona’s house. Her house was very clean and comfortable. It is beautifully situated with great views of the surrounding rolling hills and lush green fields full of dairy cows. It was the perfect place for us to explore all of the Northland region, Bay of Islands, Russel, Waitangi, Cape Renga etc. Whangarei was only a 10min drive for grocery shopping or eating out and we enjoyed being close to some of the most incredible white sand beaches our favorite being Matapouri. Although we didn’t meet Fiona she was easy to communicate with and quick to reply to any of our questions and we felt very spoiled when her partner Dion dropped off fresh caught snapper for us to enjoy! It was so delicious! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had an amazing stay at Marinas home. It is beautifully decorated, very tranquil, gorgeous pool and Marina made us feel right at home. We enjoyed Yaya the cats company and looking after the chickens. The area is very beautiful and we even saw monkeys on our drive into Marinas neighbourhood. There are great places to eat nearby. We had an amazing stay at Marty and Nita’s guest house! They have done an absolutely amazing job creating such a beautiful, authentic, serene place. Marty and Nita were very friendly and accomodating. The guest house had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights there, and we especially enjoyed seeing the Hummingbirds and hearing the Howler Monkeys. Thanks very much Marty and Nita!

Annie’s home is absolutely gorgeous and we felt very lucky that she shared it with us. It is a huge 4 bedroom home with 3 bathrooms, beautifully styled and furnished. A stunning pool to use and it is very safe inside of a condo complex with Guards on the gate. It is high on the hills with gorgeous ocean views on the drive down to the main road. We were lucky enough to spend 3 nights here and Annie was lovely and always in touch with us with very clear communication. Highly recommend Annie’s home to anyone visiting Costa Rica, we made day trips to Tamarindo which was just under an hour and a half away. Thank you so much Annie for our lovely stay!

We had an amazing time at Jeff’s unit at Ewa Beach. The location was the absolute highlight, it is right on the beach, and if you walk a little down the beach there are also surfable waves. The unit is well equipped, and there is use of a lot of beach equipment, sun loungers and a kids playground. We took one of the kayaks out one day right infront of the property and saw turtles. Further down the beach we saw a sea lion sunbathing on the beach. There were other guests staying in other units who were all very friendly and lovely. As already mentioned there is no aircon but plenty of fans. The kitchen is well equipped and the whole property has everything you could possibly need. Ewa Beach is a great, safe, quieter location away from the hustle but also close enough to all the sights and city to still enjoy. We had a rental car and it made the trip very easy. We would return to Ewa Beach in a heartbeat. Thanks for your hospitality Jeff!

My partner and I had the most amazing holiday at Susan and Robs home in Karikari Peninsula. We spent 5 nights in their beautiful home with amazing views over Kohanga Bay and you can launch your boat just 1 minute away at Rangiputa Beach. The location couldn’t have been better and the home is beautifully decorated and you can see the love they put into it. We enjoyed collecting Tuatua’s at Puheke, surfing at Rarawa and fishing off Motutara. Sue and Rob are the kindest hosts and we are forever grateful for sharing your home with us 🙏
