Neighbourhood

The apartment is located in English Bay, in the heart of Vancouver’s West End, two blocks from the beach. The neighbourhood is diverse and lively. Restaurants of all types, coffee shops, and grocery stores are a five-minute walk away. Sunset Beach is at the end of my street and you can be at Granville Island Market within 20 minutes via a little ferry, where you can shop for art, crafts, and locally grown produce, rent a kayak, or book a whale-watching tour. All the attractions of downtown Vancouver are accessible by a short bus ride or a 20-minute walk. Stanley Park, with its world-famous seawall, walking and cycling trails, pitch-and-putt golf course, and aquarium, is a five-minute walk away. Three local ski hills are only 20 minutes away by car, and are also accessible by public transit. Excursions are possible to Whistler, Vancouver Island, the Okanagan Valley wine region, and Seattle. If you like the convenience of the city, but love to be outdoors, Vancouver has the best of both worlds: all the attractions of a large city, but with the Canadian wilderness at your doorstep.
