General Overview
Who doesn't love Italy! 😉
I love this tuscan village and the genuine slow living feeling surrounding our lives when we are here. The building, the village are so autentic, that no hotel is going to give you this experience.
The Space
Our apartment is part of an old medieval condominium, with very thick walls and (Italian classic) green shutters.
The spase is small, but cosy and with everything in place. The apartment was refurbished in 2023.
We have one bedroom with a double bed (160 cm), an open space living room with kitchen, having an extandable sofa, and one bathroom with shower.
Guest Access
Apartment is at the first floor, with stairs.

Neighbourhood
The village is quite, authentic, with very good restaurants, wine vaults where you can taste great tuscany winea.
The seaside and the beach is just 15 min drive away. Closest seaside town is Cecina. You just have to descend the hill where the beautiful Riparbella is placed.
Getting to my home
The easiest way to arrive to my home is by flying to Pisa and then taking a rental car.
A car is almost a must, in order to explore the elegant Tuscany.
Nearest airport
Nearest airport is Pisa. Firenze is also close enough.
We had the most wonderful stay in Riparbella at Luiza’s beautiful home. The apartment was stylish, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, linens lovely, shower was excellent - all which made our stay so perfect! Luiza was a fantastic host—so friendly, communicative, and made everything seamless.
The town itself is charming, with several great restaurants open even in the off-season. One of our favorite memories was dining at La Piazzetta Ristorante, where the kind staff went above and beyond—tracking us down the next morning to return a forgotten purse with our passports inside!
The (free!) parking was conveniently nearby and by car it was easy to explore gorgeous towns like Volterra, San Gimignano, and Siena. We feel so grateful for our time here and look forward to welcoming Luiza to our home in Niagara someday!
Thank you, Tamsen, for your lovely words! 🤗🥰
We had a lovely stay in Luizas Riverbella home for a week. The house had everything we needed, it was comfortable, spotless, and very well equipped. The air conditioning was a real bonus during the hot summer days, especially after returning from exploring.
Communication with Luiza was excellent, she stayed in touch with us from our first inquiry right through to the day we left, making the whole process easy and reassuring.
I would highly recommend Luizas home for anyone looking to stay in Tuscany. It’s in a fantastic location, close to the beach, historic villages, and beautiful wine regions.
Luiza's home in Riparbella was such a lovely gem. Situated above a charming osteria with great food, her apartment was impeccably clean and comfortable, and we were always happy to return there after a day of sightseeing.
We loved visiting the city of Volterra one day, Cecina (the beaches around here are stunning...our favorite on our whole 1 month Europe trip) and visiting local wineries. We enjoyed strolling through Riparbella and going out in the evening to the bar/coffee shop at the top of the hill.
The little town comes to life at night and it was a joy to sit out and feel like part of it.
Luiza was such a kind host and made us feel very welcome in her home, and communication was easy. If you have the opportunity to visit, we would highly recommend a stay at Luiza's!
We were thrilled to be Luiza's first PLU guests! From our very first communication, Luiza's kindness and genuine spirit of hospitality shined through. This remained true as we were welcomed into her wonderful apartment and felt instantly at home. Riparbella was a charming town, and we were able to enjoy many day trips to explore the surrounding areas of Italy. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Luiza as an exchange partner.
Luiza and her family were perfect guests. They took amazing care of our home and left it incredibly clean upon their departure.
Luiza, her husband and two children were incredible guests in my home. This was my first PLU exchange and I feel very fortunate to have had such a lovely family staying at mine. They left it very clean and tidy and I would welcome them back at anytime. It was wonderful to meet them when they arrived and before they departed. Such a wonderful family.
Holly’s beautiful apartment made our holiday perfect!
It’s in a lovely neighbourhood of Brussels, Ixelles, which we quickly fell in love with.
The apartment was spacious, cosy, and had a great view. From there, it was easy to visit Bruges, Ghent, and Pairi Daiza.
Thank you so much, Holly and Simon, for sharing your wonderful home with us!
And thank you for leaving our apartment even eager than you found it. It was sparkling.!
Tamsen and her family were absolutely lovely guests! They took great care of our little home, and we feel really lucky to have hosted them.
Tamsen is a lovely and warm person and easy to talk to. It was such a pleasure talking to her.
Can’t wait to visit Tamsen and her family in Canada one day!
We feel so lucky to have had Sally and David as our guests! They were very thoughtful and treated our home with such care and respect. When we returned, the place was sparkling clean — dishes washed, everything in order, and even the bed sheets freshly changed and ready for us. Communication with them was easy and pleasant from start to finish. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome them back anytime.
Stefanie, Dave, Siena, and Koen were amazing guests!
They were warm, thoughtful, and took wonderful care of our home. Communication was easy, natural, and truly a pleasure.
We only wish we’d had the chance to meet them in person.
Such a lovely and kind family — thank you so much! 🤗
Darlene and her husband were truly delightful guests. We really loved their kind and friendly demeanor, and it was a joy to welcome them into our home. They treated it with great care, and without a doubt, Darlene and her family are welcome back anytime.
Sophia and her wonderful boys haven’t visited us yet, but they’re always welcome! She’s such a lovely person, and my home is always open to her and her family.
Sophia's wonderful place was our first exchange ever and I've loved everything about it: the house, Sophia herself 😊, the experience and England!
The house is very cosy, tidy and inviting! We loved staying there, we felt like home.
Sophia is such a warm, welcoming person, that we can not thank her enough!
Thank you Sophia! You've showed us that home exchage is great! Our first experience was above expectations!
