General Overview

Our home is in Wamberal, a seaside town in New South Wales.
There are amazing ocean and lagoon views from almost every window and we can see the whales passing by during their annual migration (May-October) from our balcony.

The Space

Our house is the perfect family home or would also suit couples travelling together.
Downstairs is the entryway, 2 double bedrooms, a rumpus room with table tennis table and bathroom / laundry.
Upstairs there are another 2 bedrooms (incuding the master), 2 bathrooms and an office.
We have multiple living areas upstairs, an large enclosed patio and a tropical swimming pool with BBQ area.
We have bikes, surfboards and stand up paddle boards available for use.

Our home is 2 stories and the living areas are accessed by stairs.

We are open to swapping cars also if this works as part of the exchange.

Our home is in Wamberal, a seaside town only 1.5 hours to Sydney. We are 15 mins walk to many restaurants, bars and cafes and a short 10 min drive to major shopping centres, cinemas etc.
We are located across the road from the beach, great for surfing and swimming and have access to the local lagoons for stand up paddle boarding and kayaking

Getting to my home

You can take a train from the airport to Gosford station and public transport to the home.
Having access to a car will provide more freedom to check out the surrounding areas.

Restaurants and cafes are within walking distance and there is public transport to the main shopping centre.

Mel's home is beautiful, modern, and immaculate. It feels like a vacation home with beautiful views of the ocean and a local sandy beach. And yet, it has all the conveniences and comforts of a primary residence. The kitchen is well stocked and well organized. We enjoyed the sunrise over the ocean every morning; it was amazing. There are many beautiful beaches nearby. Wamberal beach is only a 5-minute walk. Terrigal Beach and Avoca beach are both amazing. There is a reptile park with lovely birds and Koalas, where we learned about the three deadliest snakes in the world. There are many national parks and nature reserves nearby. We only had the time to visit Bouddi National Park since we made a trip to Brisbane from there. The Bouddi Coastal Walk offers beautiful views of the blue ocean and passes multiple pristine beaches with strong ocean waves. Mel is a great host. She took great pains to ensure our comfort. Communications were great too. In sum, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to exchange with Mel again.

We had a wonderful stay at Mel’s and her families house. The home is incredibly modern and gives off a real sense of luxury. It’s located just a short walk from the beach, making it perfect for easy access to surfing and seaside relaxation. All the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped, and there are several living areas with large TVs—perfect for relaxing after a day out. One of the highlights was the ping pong table, which added a lot of fun to our stay, as well as the lovely pool that offered plenty of privacy. Communication with Mel was smooth and easy. She was extremely helpful before our arrival, and quick to assist with any questions we had during our stay. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway just outside of Sydney!

Mel was a fabulous host/exchange partner. She was very communicative and so wonderful to work with and her home was absolutely beautiful. Her view was incredible and we definitely left a piece of our heart in Wamberal/Terrigal. What a home! Mel's place is amazing, light and spacious, connected with it's beautiful natural beachside location. We arrived smoothly to easy parking parking and access - the driveway looks narrow, but is fine. The main living areas are upstairs, with wonderful ocean views. It was very special to watch whales passing by each day. The house is very well equipped and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. Mel provided lots of information to help us make the most of our visit. As we were visiting to spend time with our grandsons, a huge bonus for us was the ping pong table, the scene of fierce competition:-) We enjoyed walking the beach, visiting local cafes and an especially lovely restaurant, SUQ. We'd love to come back to Wamberal some time.

We are a family of 4.
2 adults and 2 boys aged 14 and 16. 
We live in NSW Australia with our 2 dogs - Hungarian Vizslas Charlie & Mala (the dogs will go to a sitter for any exchanges unless you wish to look after them).
We have travelled extensively through Australia and Asia and are always on the lookout for quick getaways but are also looking to broaden our overseas experiences to Europe and the USA.
We prefer non sim exchanges and are somewhat limited to Australian school holidays which are April, June / July and September / October. We cant host over Xmas / January holidays as we Air BnB our home at this time.
We could be flexible for non simultaneous exchanges at other times depending on our circumstances so please reach out with any enquiries as we will happily consider all requests.
