Nestled in the coastal bush, within the Maputo Special Reserve, our house overlooks a gorgeous beach and the warm Indian Ocean.
We are situated within a quiet housing estate with 24 other homes. The location is perfect for some rest and relaxation but is also a short walk or drive away to the local, friendly village with great vibey pubs and restaurants.
Whether you are a diver, surfer, kiter or just your average beach bum the local beaches are perfect.
The house has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with a large kitchen and lounge overlooking the beach.
The space
Bedroom 01: Queen bed with ensuite bathroom
Bedroom 02: Double bed with ensuite bathroom
Bedroom 03: Two single beds with ensuite bathroom
Bedroom 04: Two single beds
There is a separate bathroom with toilet and shower AND there is a stunning outside shower (overlooking the sea) with hot water!

The house is on one level but there is a loft area with 3 additional single beds.

Neighbourhood
Great nightlife and friendly locals.
Getting to my home
The roads are all sand so you will need a 4x4 to access our house. Some experience driving in sand would help but to be honest everyone gets stuck at some point and you will find everyone super helpful in pushing you out! It's all part of the bush fun.
Nearest airport
We recommend flying into Durban, South Africa and then hiring a car from here. It is a 4 1/2 hour drive from Durban to the Mozambique border on very good roads.
Getting around
The closest village is a 5 minute drive. Here you can buy groceries, drinks and there is a pharmacy.

Hi there! We are new to this experience. We are Cazz and Steve. We currently live in Durban, South Africa but we have the most beautiful home in Southern Mozambique that we are looking to share with someone who is based in Queensland, Australia.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
