General overview
Our home is situated on top of a hill overlooking the famous Norwegian fjords and mountains, close to well-known tourist attractions in the area. The view is the most amazing thing, especially the sunrises, which we face. We also see the aurora borealis very often throughout the winter!
As we just had another baby a few weeks ago, we don't have a very tidy house at the moment! We will upload more pictures of the house bit by bit.
We are also in the middle of renovating, we do one room at the time. It goes slowly, because of our two little ones - born in 2023 and 2024. Our garden is a mess at the moment, and our patio needs a layer of new paint. Our house is certainly not perfect, and it is showing signs of being lived in. But we love it here nonetheless, and hope you will too!
The space
The house is 160 square meters, with two (three) living rooms, a kitchen, three bedrooms, laundry room and two bathrooms - as well as a walk-in-closet connected to the hallway. One of the bedrooms has a workstation.
The house is kid-friendly, with a big play area in the downstairs living room. We have many Montessori-themed toys, and some kids books in English. Also quite a few English books for adults. A half-separate TV-area is also downstairs, with a good sound system The TV is 65", and has Netflix, HBO and Youtube Premium. If you like to DJ, we also have Rekordbox DJ-decks. We have an Xbox one, Xbox series S, PS2, PS3 and a PS4 - with loads of games.
One of the bedrooms has a big family floor bed, it sleeps four. If you don't want this, we can make it a normal double bed instead. Just let us know. We also have a bedside crib for infants, and a rocking bed/crib for babies. We also have a travel bed for kids if you want to take trips somewhere, as well as two baby car seats, and a toddler car seat you can use. We have two prams/strollers, high chairs and many potties and toilet seat reducers.
I'm a huge foodie and hobby chef, so our kitchen is fully equipped. You will be able to cook mostly anything. We have a dining table with room for 6 in the kitchen, but if necessary we can move another table up from the garage and place it in the adjoining living room.
In the garage we have SUP-boards/paddleboards, skis, ice skates, sledges, fishing- and camping equipment. If you know how to ride motorcycles, we may be able to give you access to a Kawasaki Ninja. We have two leather suits for riding, as well as helmets. There is also a hot tub outside on the patio, but it's currently in need of repairs.
As a big bonus, we also have a cabin on the mountain, in a place called Raudsand. It's one and a half hour away from our house. It sleeps up to 8 people, and is really secluded. You can drive up almost all the way to it, then walk for five minutes to reach it. There are multiple fishing lakes close by, and you can also pick blueberries when they are in season. The cabin is nothing fancy, but it's a remote and free place to stay for a couple of days. Check out our separate listing for more pictures.
The garden is around 800 square meters, and we have a large patio with three sunbeds, outdoors seating areas, and a dining table. We have a heater for colder nights as well, and a BBQ gas oven.
Guest access
We have two floors, with a staircase connecting them. Not wheelchair friendly.
Notes
Also - you will be sharing the space with our 5 year old cat, Puss. He's very affectionate, and amazing with kids. He walks in and out through a cat door, and doesn't need anything other than food and water. In the warmer half of the year he is mostly outside, and will often spend days or weeks away from home.

Neighbourhood
We live in a purely residential neighborhood. There are different walking trails in the woods two minutes from our house, which go all the way up to a mountain called Jendemsfjellet. You can also ski there in winter. There is a playground and football field 15 minutes away by foot, and a beach pretty close by.
We live in the middle of Møre og Romsdal county, and we are close to the Atlantic Road, Trollstigen, Ålesund, Midsundtrappene, Trollkirka, Geiranger, Gudbrandsjuvet, Valldal and Eikesdal. People come from all over the world to see the beautiful nature here, to fish, to hike the mountains, to ski, white water raft and skydive. If you are looking for outdoors-adventures, this is the place to be. The closest alpine ski centre is only 15 minutes away (Tusten), and there are two others one hour away in different directions. A much larger one is 2.5 hours away, at Bjorli. There are multiple museums and art galleries in the surrounding cities, an amazing aquarium, as well as Norways fourth biggest mall (if you like shopping!).
Getting to my home
You can come in at different airports, the best connections are of course to Oslo and Trondheim, which are bigger cities. From there you can take the train or bus to Molde, which is the closest city. From Molde it's a 20 minute car ride, we would recommend taking a taxi all the way up to the house. The bus stop is pretty far, and all the way down by sea level.
We don't recommend coming here without a drivers license and a car. We can rent out our car if needed, or if your swap includes a car - we can work something out. The closest shop is 7 minutes away by car, and the nearest city with all kinds of shops and amenities is 20 minutes away.
Our stay at Victoria and Daniel's home was wonderful. We spent the Christmas and New Year period there and it was amazing. I greatly appreciate their agreement to host also our friends. This was a lovely addition to this time spent in a foreign country during Christmas!
Their home is very beautiful ❤️ with a stunning view, comfortable and equipped with everything you might need. Victoria, Daniel, Vida and Leo are incredibly kind people worth meeting 😊😊They also visited us in Poland and stayed at our agritourism. It was a pleasure to host them. They are curious travelers who are not intimidated by traveling with such young children, which is both beautiful and inspiring. See you again!
Very nice house in a quite, awesome area. Beautiful view from the living room.
We loved Victorias home. It had everything we needed and was clean and steady. Victorias was very friendly and helpful. This part of Norway is absolutely stunning! I really recommend this house ❤️
Kind, friendly and very clean family.
I wanted to share that Victoria and her family were an excellent guests during their stay in my home. They were respectful, communicative, and left the house in great condition. I would gladly recommend them for future exchanges.
Best regards,
Bartosz
So we had a pleasure of hosting this nice Norwegian family in our apartment for one week. They left the house spotless and took good care of our house . It was nice to talk to them about travells while watching them being such good and caring parents to their little ones. Hope to visit them this year :)
We had a pleasure to host Victoria's & Daniel's family in our apartment recently.
They have been a great guests. We had nice discussions, sharing the travel experiences, learning about our home countries.
I appreciate also small things, they left the room very clean :).
Very recommended couple ,
A fantastic family who spent a few days with us, they were calm and nice guests, it was nice to see that they liked our place! I'm glad we met, we're going to their house in December and we can't wait :)
Anna and Piotr stayed at our place for a few weeks over Christmas and New Years. They left everything super clean and tidy, and we had no trouble with them what so ever! They are more than welcome to return whenever they feel like it! Reliable family, although they left our cat a bit fatter than he was before!
We stayed in Kasias place for almost a week this fall, and we loved it! The space is well equipped and clean, and the location is really great. You can easily access all of Berlin in no time using the public transport system, and it's also in a neighborhood full of shopping and eating opportunities. We traveled with two small children, and the apartment was well suited for them as well. I really would recommend this place!
We stayed in Dominikas flat for almost a week this fall. The place was really central, and you can easily drive or take public transport to get to the city centre. The apartment was clean, but not very tidy.
Dominika and her travel company stayed for almost a week at our house. It went well, they had cleaned up after themselves, and also helped with moving away some outdoors furniture before a storm. They also borrowed our car, which I am sad to say was not cleaned before they left.
We had the pleasure of staying at Bartosz place for five days, and we had such a great time. Our stay could have been much longer!
The closeness to lake Dargin, right on the properties doorstep, is such a gift. Walking on the beaches, barbecuing outside on a bonfire, swimming, kayaking, picking apples and grapes from the garden, swinging and playing for the kids. A wonderful location, very clean and spacious apartments, cozy and warm with a fireplace.
We had a blast!
Rog Pierkunowski is also very close to the Wolfs Lair, Hitlers headquarters during WW2. If you like history from that era, visiting that complex is a must.
We were super lucky to be able to stay with Peter and his family for a few days while visiting Poland, and on super short notice as well.
They were so helpful in regards to everything from parking to recommending activities for us, and had even cooked us a nice meal when we arrived late in the evening after a long drive.
We enjoyed our time there, and are so grateful for them opening up their home to us. Can't wait for them to visit us back this summer!
Don't hesitate to go there, it's not far from Warsawa centrum with all of its attractions.
We had an amazing stay at Anna and Piotrs place, it's truly something unique! Nestled in the beautiful Polish mountains and woodlands, with a great view. It's like something out of a fairytale.
The location is great for exploring the nearby areas. Krakow, Bielsko-Biala, Katowice, Auschwitz, and even day trips to Slovakia and the Czech Republic. There are so many family friendly activities in the surrounding areas, with mini zoos, theme parks and museums.
The food is so good, the people are very hospitable, and Poland is overall such a gem.
Anna and Piotr are so welcoming, and greeted us with homemade bread, fresh eggs from their chickens, and other traditional foods. We had so much fun at their place, and with the animals that live on their farm.
We can't wait to go back another time!
