General overview

A big two-bedroom apartment with a ton of character in a 100-year old walk-up in an incredible neighbourhood.

The space

This is a warm, welcoming space. The twelve year's I've been here have seen a few different relationships and roommates, which have led to the current, and some might say quirky layout... The main bedroom is separated from the living room by a barn door and from the kitchen by a french door and windows. It has a queen-sized bed and large wooden table that most often serves as a second work space. The second bedroom is my now my office and was decorated as a professional backdrop for video calls, with an adjustable standing desk, whiteboards, and good Wi-Fi. It has a sofa that can be pulled out into a king-size bed. It's also set up for good home workouts with exercise bands, dumbbells up to 58lb, a pull up bar, yoga mats, foam rollers, and a heavy wooden bench. The kitchen is equipped with oven, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, slow cooker, steamer, hand mixer, blender, immersion blender, and Keurig coffee maker.

Guest access

The apartment is on the 3rd floor (ground +2) and there is no lift, so it may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. And while there are no pets living here now, two cats lived here from 2020 to mid-2024. Everything has been thoroughly cleaned, but it may still not be suitable for someone with serious allergies.

Notes

The apartment is heated by hot water cast iron radiators, although because the apartment is on the inside of the building, they rarely need to be set above a minimum level. In the summer, two window-installed air conditioning units keep the space quite cool, and there are a number of fans that can be used. Coin laundry is in the building on the same floor as the apartment.
