Neighbourhood
We are a 5 minute walk from the beach!
There are local shops, bars and restaurants at the top and bottom of the area including a post office, local greengrocer, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop and a hairdresser and newsagents. The Mumbles village is a 15-20 minute walk and accessible along a lovely scenic coastal promenade walk which is a 5 minute walk down from the house. There are plenty of places to dine in Mumbles with a variety of local and nautical shops which is set right beside Oystermouth Castle. There an abudance of ice-cream cafes and fish and chips shops to visit and eat whilst walking along the lovely promenade all the way to Mumbles Pier!
You are spoilt for choice by the number of beaches you can visit near Mumbles including Bracelet Bay, Caswell, Rhossili, Langland etc most can be walked to from the house from 30mins to an hour.
Lots of choices and opportunties for water sports on nearby beaches including surfing, paddle boarding and renting boats. The long promenade is also great for cycling and can cycle into Swansea town in 20 minutes.
Swansea town is 10-15 minute drive away to the city centre and marina with an abundance of things to do, shops to visit and food to eat. We are also situated near Gower meaning lots of walking trails and coastal paths to hike! Cardiff is also less than an hour away by car.
Getting around
There is a local bus at the end of the road, with good bus service to the town centre and mumbles every 20-30 minutes. During peak times the Mumbles train will run along the promenade which is great for family fun. Mumbles also has regular bus services running.

We both love adventure and travelling together. We're looking for a house exchange in Melbourne with my daughter, who is studying medicine and will be working during our time there. We would love the opportunity to stay somewhere!
