General overview

Although it is in a residential neighborhood, once you're in the newly designed modern 3 bed house with the back double doors open, it feels like an oasis on this generously sized wooden decking with all the birds and wooded area out the back. It is a discrete corner plot with a big wrap around garden, with a lovely view out onto the valley. There is also a lower decking / garden with a fire pit. The house is just 20 mins walk to the sea, 30 mins walk to the harbour of Torquay, and 10 minutes walk to the very quaint English Devon village of Cockington. The area of South Devon is beautiful on the doorstep of Cornwall. Gorgeous quaint villages/towns nearby like Dartmouth, Brixham, Totnes, Salcombe River Dart nearby for boat rides and paddle boarding. Seaside town of Torquay where I live. Dartmoor National Park nearby for hiking. Nearby cities of Exeter and Plymouth.

Hi I am a 37 year old guy living in the beautiful South Devon, UK, after teaching languages abroad for 13 years. I am looking to exchange anywhere anytime really, especially for the month of December until 31.12.24 somewhere warm and sunny. I work part-time on and off as a mentor for young men, French/Spanish teacher, and I do support work in children's homes. I am increasingly interested in well-being and holistic health. I love a balance of activities throughout my week, including yoga, acting, paddle boarding, listening to podcasts, cooking, dancing! I attend a self-development retreat part-time near here too. My partner, Rich, lives with me part-time. He works with disabled children. I have always wanted to do house exchanges, and now that my house is finally done up, I am ready :) we are kind, respectful people. We like to do lots of paddle boarding, hiking and resting. We are thinking of fostering a child but until then, we want to make the most of our lives!
