Our 7 year old three bedroom home is located in Cromwell which is the furthest point from the sea and until recently the newest town in NZ, due to the old town being flooded to make way for Lake Dunstan that powers the Clyde Dam.
We are known as the hub of Central Otago, only an hour from Queenstown and Wanaka, which are known for their adventure toursim. Surrounded by hills and mountains for hiking, mountain biking, snow skiing in the winter, golf courses, wineries and mountain bike tracks - the Otago rail trail and lake Dunstan trails.
Our home is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac only a short walk into town and Lake Dunstan is only a five minute walk away for those summer swims!
On our doorstep we have Highlands motorsport park a community headted swimming pool, tennis courts and a 18 hole links golf course that will challenge golfers of all abilities. We have a small selection of shops, restaurants and only a five minute walk away you can hire bikes of your choice to explore the wider area or persue our local trails. 'Bike It Now', also offers a pick up and drop off service so you can make the most of your biking while you are here.
Within walking distance you can visit vineyards such as The Wooing Tree, Scott Base and Mishas, all wineries that offer tastings and platters, with others around Bannockburn, Gibston Valley and Bendigo.
Dont forget to make time to visit our 'Old Cromwell Precinct' that was re-constructed after Lake Dunstan was Built.

Sally & David
We are a semi retired couple living in Cromwell who enjoy travelling to new countires and emmercing ourselves into their culture.
We are excited to be planning a trip to Europe next year and hoping that we can use this PLU network to exchange homes either at the same time or at a later date. We have the flexibility to offer non - simultaneous exchanges as we can get away in our motorhome at any time and leave our little slice of paradise for you to explore.
David emigrated to NZ in 2002 and has been a regional manager for a print company and I was a early childhood teacher owning our own centre until 2022.
We are now enjoying spending more time with our three daughters, their husbands and our three beautiful grandsons, who all live here in Cromwell too.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
