General overview

Gocek is a sea side village consisting mainly of marinas, lots and lots of boats in a lovely well protected 10 mile long bay.

The space

Very modern,light and spacious open plan living room /kitchen. Large bathroom with walk in shower. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with big duble bed, a wonderful terrace overlooking the town and marina.

Guest access

Access is from a pedestrian road, so will need to park your car and walk for 1-2 minutes to the property. (Pedestrian / shopping road is closed to all car traffic) Apartment is right in center of the village.

Neighbourhood

Many choices of restaurants, cafes, shops. There are many boat trips that leaves in front of the apartment for a day trip or even a few days if you fancy staying in the bays on a boat you may want to charter. There are water taxis to some of the bays. Be warned, there is no public beach in Gocek. Closest one is 20 minutes drive. There is one amazing beach in Gocek, but belongs to a hotel and has an entrance fee. (Certain times of the year like during national holidays its only open only for hotel guests and no entry even with a fee) There is a lovely public pool in middle of town, 2 minutes walk from the apartment, that charges a small entrance fee.

We are 20 minutes drive from Dalaman international airport.

Getting around

Shops and restaurants are pretty much left, right and center to the apartment. You could not be more central. You can hire a car or take buses to bigger towns, cities.

I am in my 50’s and currently living in between South of France and Bath UK with my husband and our two children. My British husband of 25 years is in the yachting industry which involves considerable traveling and much time away. We have 2 children, our son is preparing to start university in September, our daughter is 16. A previous yachty myself and having worked on boats with my husband before we had our children, I have also travelled all over the world which I absolutely loved and still carry the travel bug. We try to see different parts of the world which we have not seen whenever we can with our children. We are super clean and tidy family, would treat your house with much care and would expect the same with ours.
