General Overview

We live in a historic monumental farmhouse in the small town of Geldrop, near Eindhoven. The house has many old features and was renovated in 2019. So we have the old look and modern comfort such as underfloor heating and a modern bathroom and kitchen.

The Space

Karen loves to cook. She is a part-time cooking teacher. So you can find any kitchen tool you want to use. Close to the kitchen is a cellar. Today, it is deep enough for a person to go into it. In farms in the province of Brabant you will often find semi-deep cellars with a room on top. The split-level of the 1850s. This is called an "upstairs room". The farm is a municipal monument. Wim is a retired architect. The design of the interior of our (and the adjacent) farm were designed by him. He currently has a new passion: taking children to school by taxi van. On the ground floor there are - the living room - kitchen with cooking island - master bedroom (incl bathroom with toilet and shower) - entrance hall with toilet and laundry room On the 1st floor there are: - one bedroom (two people) - bathroom with toilet, shower and bath - hobby room - two storage rooms We have a beautiful garden with a lawn and some borders/garden rooms. People often stop on the street to peek into our garden. There is plenty of privacy in the garden. We have beautiful late evening sun in the back of the garden. Within a few minutes you will find a supermarket and hiking trails through forests and heathland. There are two farms next to each other, which house four families. We have a common yard with the neighbors, but each house has its own garden.

Guest Access

The ground floor (incl. master bedroom + bathroom) is fully wheelchair accessible. Access to the first floor (bedroom, bathroom and hobby room) is accessed via a wide and secure staircase.
