General overview
Our house offers the perfect ambiance for families wanting to experience the traditional French lifestyle and is fully equipped to enjoy the best of each season. It’s a stone house from 1930, in the Parisien Region. Very cozy, with a luminous living room, 4 bedrooms (including 2 queen/king size beds with hotel quality mattresses), a dining room with extendable table for up to 10 guests and fully furnished kitchen. For our winter guests, we have a raclette and pierrade machines so they can experience these traditional French dishes. During the other seasons, our brand new BBQ can also be the star of your lunch/dinner. The home also counts with a 400m2 garden, with a beautiful authentic French farmhouse table, perfect for breakfast outside or a glass of wine at the end of the day. Children are welcome and we have baby chair, a portable crib and even a trampoline in the garden. Our home is situated in the heart of a small bourgeoir city around the Seine river (200m away from the house). The train station to central Paris is 3 minutes away by foot (tickets cost 5€), it takes around 50 minutes to Champs Elysées or 55 minutes to Saint Lazare and there is also a route to Disneyland Paris. 30 minutes by car (also reachable by bus) from Versailles, 40 minutes from Giverny (Monet Gardens) and 1 hour from Rouen, the capital of Normandy. The perfect combination between city and countryside.
Notes
-We have a cat but we usually take her to a relative’s home during the exchanges.
-For reciprocal exchanges that involve flying, we are open to swap cars as well.

Our home is located on a very “bourgeois” region, where all the cities have the small French ville vibe, right next to the Seine river. Beautiful traditional stone houses (some are more than 300 years old) and green landscapes. Easy transportation to Paris and Versailles and easy to reach other touristic spots such as Giverny (Monet Gardens), Chantilly, Rouen and Deauville (Normandy), for a day trip. You can also reach Disneyland Paris by train from the station next to our house and the amazing Thoiry Zoo (safari style) is a 30 minutes drive away.
Just around the corner you will find good restaurants, wine bars and bakeries where you can delight yourself with the best of the french patisserie, and even a castle are a quick walk away. Hot days are the perfect opportunity to visit the two Île de Loisirs (recreational parks with lots of activities and sports options), close to us and refresh yourself swimming in the river. During the spring and summer, a picnic or drinking a glass of wine in front of the river are one of our favorite activities. Golf lovers can enjoy the golf courses located 5 minutes from our house. For those traveling with children there are several playgrounds where they can safely play while you enjoy the view and feeding the swans at the Seine will make the greatest memories.
