General Overview

Our home is in the beautiful Florida Keys. We are one hour away from Miami International Airport. Our home is waterfront in a canal that leads to world know John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.

The Space

Our home is fully remodeled 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom with a fenced backyard. The primary bedroom has a king size bed.  The bathroom has a shower and a soaking tub that overlooks the water.  The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed and a tumble on the bottom.  The second bathroom is a combination tub and shower.  The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare all kinds of meals. We also have an outdoor bbq and a fenced yard. We provide paddle boards and kayak so you can go and experience nature's beauty.

Guest Access

Home is on the second floor with the ground floor with the outdoor amenities.

We have an electronic lock so getting in and out it’s easy.  

Our check in time is 4:00 pm and check out is at 11:00 am.  This allows the cleaning staff to have the house ready for the next guest.  We can be flexible with the check in/out if we don’t have any bookings for the same day.

Notes

Please note: This home is listed in Vrbo but once we agree on the exchange dates we blocked our calendar. Since this is a vacation home, we have it professionally clean prior to your arrival and require that you reach out and pay for the cleaners to come and clean at the end of your stay. Cleaning fee is $250, if you bring your pet the cleaners charge $350.

We had the most magical week at Taimy's lovely Key Largo home. It was our family of 4 and another family; including 4 kiddos aged 6-9. The house is magical with giant windows all around allowing you to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset. I loved sitting on the back deck overlooking the canal each morning while I drank my coffee. The beds were comfy, the towels were plush, the kitchen suited for a chef, but the best part was the outdoor spaces down below the house...we lounged, we sunbathed, and we LOVED kayaking and paddle-boarding in the canal. We saw manatees within 10 feet of us- I mean come on, could it get any better than that!? Taimy was incredibly gracious, leaving us goodies, and responding to our questions throughout the week. Thank you, Taimy and Family!!

The 4 of us had a wonderful week at Taimy's home, Key Largo and the Florida Keys in general. Communication with Taimy was timely from the beginning and when a few minor issues came up during the exchange she was quick to resolve them even though she was out of the country and in a different time zone. The pictures don't currently show it, but the house has some super comfortable soft seating and dining table located in the shade under the home and an outdoor billiards table. We spent most of our time when home relaxing in this wonderful outdoor environment. The kitchen was so well stocked with cooking supplies that it probably has more than our full time home. The AC worked great on the warmer days, although it did get a bit chilly some evenings without heat being available. Although there were plenty of blankets provided which made for cozy and happy sleeping. There were not very many neighbors around when we were there but in general the neighborhood was very quiet and well located relative to shopping and great restaurants. We were a bit disappointed that the listing stated there were bikes available only to find out after we finalized that the bikes were in disrepair and we couldn't use them. Not a big deal though as we were quite happy spending most of our outdoor time on the water. The house is right on a canal that leads to miles and miles of amazingly clear water in the wide open and also in very fun small "paths" in the middle of mangroves. We saw so many fish, stingray, manatee and sharks every day! The house includes many water sport options including kayaks and SUPs which we used daily and put into the water right in the backyard. But they could all use some TLC to be fully functional and fully enjoyed by all guests. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend exchanging with Taimy for this lovely home.

Taimy’s home is gorgeous, it’s even better than pictures. The sunsets are beautiful. We even saw manatees in the canal. The house is Impeccably clean. So much to do a week was not enough.

We are a family of six all adults.  We are avid travelers and enjoy exploring. We lived abroad for many years and that gave us the opportunity to travel extensively.  Most of the time my husband and I travel alone but there special occasions our daughters, son,  their partners and my father travel with us.
