Elana’s apartment is the most prime location you can get.
If you get to swap with her, you’ve hit the jackpot!
The immediate area is full of beautiful grocery stores (including one on the block), coffee shops galore and the train is 3 blocks away. Getting to Manhattan takes minutes and you get to see the most epic views of the city on the ride over.
Getting to walk down Elana’s street lined by trees and brownstones was truly a treat. The block is Gorgeous. You won’t want to leave.
Her house is the ultimate cozy spot. Our family felt at home immediately. We felt so welcome and comfortable.
A lot of days we didn’t even want to leave the apartment (and didn’t) because there are so many books and toys it was better than being in Toys R Us and the Manhattan Public Library in one!
My kids were in a wonderland.
The kitchen has every single thing you could want or need.
You won’t find a better apartment in location, space and warmth.
Anyone who gets to swap with Elana is super lucky!
Home exchanging not only gifted us with wonderful memories in NYC that we’ll have forever.. but it gave me a new friend in Elana.
From our first FaceTime it felt like we were old friends… With a shared love of travel.
It was so enjoyable talking with her through our exchange and beyond.
She’s easy going and thoughtful. I’m grateful we met.
And if you need planning suggestions.. look no further. She is a rockstar and should be a professional travel planner!
Take all of her suggestions if she shares any!
Elana, you and your family are the best! We’re so grateful to have met you!
The perfect place for exploring Costa Rica. We felt so at home in the beautiful space and obsessed with the layout which was so comfortable for my family of four. The house is brand new and so clean. The pool enabled us to have a built in adventure on a daily basis. Couldn't have loved this home more!
Allison is such a rare gem of a person. Her and her family are kind, considerate, and thoughtful. It really felt like we were old friends after our exchange. Our house was in great (even better actually) shape than when we left. We can't wait to go back to Costa Rica and exchange again!
