General overview

Long driveway so we are not adjacent to a busy road. Eagles fly past my windows and perch in the large trees near me. Sometimes they drop their fishy catch in the yard as they carry their meal from the river to the trees. I do remove it so as not to attract more bears. In the winter I enjoy watching the snowfall and the light hit the mountains out my window. My home is not fancy…it is comfortable, and it’s a great place to be if you are wanting to explore Juneau!

We are a family of 4 but mostly empty nesters as the kids are wrapping up college. We are simple people who enjoy Alaska for what it offers…nature and wilderness, solitude and scenery and authentic experiences and people. We enjoy Alaska in all seasons but also enjoy experiencing the world and all of its beautiful, natural areas. We avoid crowds but love friend gatherings. We are hard working people and take care of all that we have. We believe in avoiding excess and repeat buying and filling landfills with waste. We take care of what we have, ourselves and each other.
