General Overview

Our oceanfront home sits on two spectacular acres of park-like grounds. This is a very special home that has been in our family for over 40 years. The architecturally- designed home has expansive lawns and gardens, providing a tranquil and peaceful setting. The property, with over 200 feet of ocean frontage, extends directly onto basalt rocks with huge crashing waves and tidepools to explore. The Oregon coast is spectacular!

The Space

Our 3400 square foot home has four bedrooms and two baths (Beds: 2 Kings, 1 Queen, 2 Twins). Huge windows provide panoramic views. Snuggle by the huge rock fireplace (wood provided) and take in the spectacular vistas. Enjoy the baby grand piano in the living room. Primary bedroom and bath are on the main level with three additional bedrooms and a cozy sitting room with more great views upstairs.

We have wi-fi, Alexa, and a large 75" TV.

Our three decks offer incredible views of the ocean and lush woodland gardens.

There is one step into the home from the outside.

Notes

Children and pets are welcome. However, the home may not be safe for young children, and dogs should not be allowed on the rocks. The lawn leads directly to the rocks and crashing waves which can be dangerous. It is not fenced.

This is a second home which is never rented. We take much pride in it and expect our guests to treat it gently. We limit our exchange parties to six people.

Yachats is a friendly beach community on a amazing  stretch of the central Oregon coast. The home is in a quiet neighborhood. You'll have access to miles of hiking trails directly from our property.

Major airports are in Portland (2 1/2 hours) and Eugene (1 1/2 hours).

Getting Around

The beach and downtown are within walking distance. Yachats has lots of good restaurants, pubs, galleries, and shops. There are many popular natural sites within minutes of our home so the location is ideal for exploring many popular areas of the Oregon coast.

Deep sea fishing, a large aquarium, horseback rides on the beach, a large casino, and sand dune adventures are just a few of the attractions within 30 minutes of our home.

Absolutely beautiful home and location. The house was clean and and we felt very welcome with all the thoughtful touches Stephanie and Dan put into the home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We're primarily looking for exchanges in the western U.S. and Canada. We generally like to stay in Oregon during July and August, but our home may be available for non-simultaneous exchanges. We love driving trips! 

This Yachats home was the venue for our wedding 40 years ago. Our primary home is on four country acres outside of Eugene, Oregon, a home we've lived in for over 30 years. We share our lives with a tiny Yorkie/Mini Schnauzer and lots of wildlife. Some of our interests include national parks and scenic byways, hiking, reading, history, the arts, theater, and music of all kinds. Dan is a golfer and Stephanie loves gardening and playing the piano.
