Neighbourhood
The Plateau Mont-Royal is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Montreal. It is characterized by brick and stone buildings, in rows with spiral staircases. It is also very wooded and flanked on each side by two large parks, Laurier Park and Lafontaine Park. Mont-Royal Street offers everything you could need, shops, bars and restaurants. Laurier Street is also full of resources.
The apartment is located an 8-minute walk from the metro.
Mount Royal (commonly called the mountain) is one of the topographical features of Montreal and is a 30-minute walk, 10 minutes by bus.
It's a huge park where you can hike, cross-country ski and skate in winter.
From the belvedere at the top of the mountain, you can observe all of downtown Montreal and its towers as well as the St. Lawrence River.
Getting to my home
Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau International Airport is 22 km from our residence. It's less than half an hour by car
(when traffic is fluid). Taxi (around $50-60)
The 747 bus runs very frequently between the airport and the bus station ($10). Afterwards, take a taxi or the metro for 2 stations.
8 minutes walk from Mont-Royal metro station (elevator in this station).
Uber

Getting around
Everything is close. We don't have a car (only car sharing)
and do all our shopping on foot or by bike.
There is everything on Mont-Royal and Laurier streets:
Supermarkets
Bakery, butcher, fishmonger, cafes etc...
SAQ (where to buy wine and alcohol)
