General overview

Semi detached terrace house (one of seven) spread over two floors - one of which is set below street-level. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One large office space (that can also serve as a bedroom when required). The house is located on a hill surrounded by countryside in every direction, and has a large and very pretty lake right underneath, where you can see large fish (carp) and wildlife such as Coypu and herons. We worked from home the whole way through Covid, and the house is well set up for remote workers, with an office space downstairs complete with fast internet, a desk, printer etc. The furnishings are typically Tuscan, countrystyle. There is a fireplace and pizza oven in the downstairs living area and a woodburner upstairs. The house has double glazed windows and underfloor heating in winter and stays very toasty and warm even when the temps drop outside. The terrace is a highlight of the house as it has views over the countryside, and we often see groups of deer or other wildlife while sitting outside. Like most Italian properties, we have neighbours on each side - but that makes our house really safe, and they are always very helpful whenever we need help - yet considerate of our privacy. The house is in the commune di Firenze, and Florence is a short 35 minute drive. Pisa international airport is 45 minutes drive. The new fast road runs close to the house, so it makes sightseeing around Tuscany easy and fast. Our local village Castelfiorentino has a train station (direct to Florence and Siena) and everything else you need (shops, bars, a theatre, restaurants, supermarkets, hairdressers, banks etc). 5 mins away is the pretty spa town of Gambassi Terme, or you can visit Montaione (rated one of Italy's most charming towns) by driving 5 mins in the other direction. We are also close to Volterra and San Gimignano.
