General Overview

Tropical family home with pool and lots of toys — a peaceful, comfortable retreat surrounded by lush nature. Perfect for families or creative travelers looking to relax and explore Costa Rica’s South Pacific coast. Animal NOTE: cat to be cared for (she is lovely!) and a few chickens (very easy care) … also a possible dog to be discussed (we have a mini dachshund- so lovable, likes a daily walk!, but sometimes travels with us or stays with a dogsitter) For 2026: Currently available NOW for two months- open to all possibilities. For 2027: ISO - one month reciprocal exchange in August with a home in Scotland (open to other destinations in Europe as well) For 2028: We are open to longer term direct exchanges.

The Space

The property includes the Main House and a Casita, a saltwater pool, and multiple covered outdoor spaces. * Main house: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom (king + queen), AC in both bedrooms * Open living/kitchen with books, games, toys, and oracle decks * Casita: 1 queen Murphy bed, full bath, kitchenette, washer/dryer, AC * Indoor-outdoor living with large glass doors and garden views

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire property including the main house, casita, pool, outdoor kitchen, and laundry. Also the possibility to be in just the house or just the casita can be discussed.

Notes

* Friendly cat (feeding + a little love) * 4 egg-laying chickens (simple morning feed/water when collecting eggs) * End of stay cleaning: 80 euro (slightly less if utilizing only main house or only casita) * Pool cleaning: twice per week

Getting to my home

Arrive at San Jose by plane. SJO Options to come from San Jose: By taxi, shuttle or rental car - direct from airport to house approx. 4.5 hrs It is a long trek. The drive is beautiful! By extra airplane - can take a short flight to Quepos airport and hire a taxi for a 1.5hr drive to the house
