General overview
Your home has the greatest view, is in the city centre, but quiet and near nature for recreation. We love exploring the close buy nature, being able to look at it from a warm living room in all weather conditions or to use the city facilities.
The space
Our house is a relatively small Funky house from 1966. The bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs. Childrens rooms connected to the hall as well as one bathroom and the washing room. The master bedroom has a separate bathroom.
Upstairs you will find the best views are from the living room with sofa, 65” TV and dining table. The kitchen and office is upstairs as well.
During summer we have a fantastic trampoline outdoors and small football goals as well as a garden and a balcony. There a several playgrounds in the neighbourhood as well as a small and neat football area with barbeque, benches and surrounding forest.

Neighbourhood
If you are looking for a city setting that does not have an overwhelming amount of citizens but a breathtaking view and a vicinity to mountains and sea this is your place. There are only a few places in this world where everything is so close that you can explore the nature ( mountains or the sea) and end the day with city adventures (shopping or dinning at a café, bakery or restaurant). From our house you can pick out the next adventure close or far way. A short stroll will take you to the city centre or the nearest hilltop or the hiking and skiing park. Despite the vicinity to the town the neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Well then there is not a football match or concert.
Situated on Norway’s biggest Island our house lies in a region ideally placed between the fjords and mountain ranges in Northern Norway. Go to a hill topp and enjoy 24/7 hours of sunlight during mid-summer or be lucky and se the mysterious green northern lights in wintertime.
In Harstad you will find theatre and cultural house, festivals, genuine shops, Grottebadet (a water park under the ground), The Adolf canon (one of the largest battleship-cannons put on land in Europe during the second World War), a small alpine centre and much more. There is a local tourist information that will help you find guided tours for the most adventures. Every morning the south and north going Hurtigruten meet in the harbour.
Harstad lies on the innermost peninsula of Lofoten. Lofoten is on UNESCOs list. Google it. Only 1,5 hours to Svolvær. In addition many of the neighbour islands are just as beautiful but not as known. Just across the fjord you will find a great adventures natural playground for children (Fabeløya on Rolla).
Getting to my home
The best way of gettin to my home is either by flying in to Evenes Airport and taking the buss (flybussen.no) to the city centre or Equinor (where we can park the car) Both from places are a short walk or drive to our house. consider you need to walk up the hill.
You will need a car for getting around to the mountains, sea etc.
Nearest airport
40 min drive to Evenes - Harstad/Narvik airport (Shortname EVE)
Getting around
Walk or drive 1,5 km to the city centre.
