It is 5 mins walk from the house to public transports or supermarkets, shoping center, small park with cafe.
10-minute ride/ 20 minutes with subway to Oslo city center where you can explore Oslo attractions as parks, beaches, lakes, fishing in Oslo fjord; hiking trails just about 2km from our house, and ski slopes in winter ( from 30-60 minutes by public transport), our home offers the perfect blend of urban living and outdoor adventures.
Most of attractions are in Zone 1 (Oslo) with subway, tram, buss.. Public transport tickets can easy buy online with Ruter app (choose zone 1)
Nearest airport
Oslo lufthavn Gardermoen airport (OSL), 35 minutes by shuttle fly buss (direct) or 50 mins by fly train or local train ( transfer at the Oslo centre and take subway to our house), then 5 minutes walk to our home.
Public transport to/ from the airport: can take shuttle buss or fly train or local trains ( ticket for local trains to airport er 4 zones)
Getting Around
In summer you can go sightseeing in the city and fjords, beaches, hiking, cycling or even skiing (in-door), taking boat/ ferry to smal islands in Oslo fijord or to near by town or to Copenhagen,
Indoor activities with many museums, a new built morden library with free actitivites and events for children with the Oslo fjord view and Opera house where you can enjoy cafe, fine-dining or hot-sauna by the sea.
If you like a White Chirstmas and snow activities then Oslo is a nice place to visit in periods of Christmas and winter break.
Tradional Christmas markets with tradioninal home-made furnitures, clothes, foods, many activities for childrens with tivoli, outdoor games, Santa riding horse.
Outdoor and free ice trails for skating, you can also skating or fisking on the lakes or seas.
Down hill and cross-country skiing with plenty of trails and ski resorts in Oslo and near by.
