Our home is in a beautiful location, very close to many Sonoma County wineries and excellent restaurants. We are also a 40 minute drive to the ocean, an hour’s drive to San Francisco and 35 minutes to the Napa valley.
The space
Our neighborhood is a beautiful, quiet senior community. The location is convenient for many Bay Area day trips and the ocean is within 45 minutes by car. You do not need to be of retirement age to stay here as our guests. The golf courses are open to the public, so we see folks of all ages.
In our retirement village, there are two golf courses and 3 recreation centers with pools, jacuzzis and work-out facilities. We are able to arrange guest passes for you. If you rent a car, you can easily visit all of the Wine Country and the San Francisco Bay Area. Here we are very close to the vineyards and wineries of Sonoma County. You can also visit the Napa Valley in less than an hour. The Golden Gate Bridge, that takes you into San Francisco is about one hour from here.
Here in Sonoma County, there are so many great eateries, wineries, galleries and performance venues. We are always exploring new ones and can give recommendations. There is a good restaurant in the neighborhood, as well as a small grocery store and 3 banks. The towns of Sonoma (25 minutes) et Healdsburg (35 minutes) are two of our favorite spots. The wineries abound and are great to explore. There are more than 465 in Sonoma County! You can sit in a beautiful setting and enjoy a tasting and, often, a bite to eat.
Our cat, Toby, is quite easy to deal with and only requires that his dry food stays stocked in the dispenser and that he gets a wet food treat once a day. He is mostly a quiet, independent house cat, although he can go out in the backyard, as long as you let him back in before you leave the house.
