General overview

Our little casita in Tavira is enchanting. Tavira is a beautiful low key old country town in the East part of the Algarve in southern Portugal. The closest airports are Faro or Sevilla, Spain.

The space

Cosy traditional cottage style house, with modern comfort. We are walking distance to everything in town. You do not need a car. Our rooftop is delightfull and our neighbors too.

Lovely locals. A walking town full of charm. Minutes away from all services. Supermarkets, restaurants and bars, churches and two train stations. Minutes from the boat to the beach.

Getting to my home

Drive N125 by car (street parking), or be dropped off and then walk everywhere. Two Train stations near by. Or take a bus to town.

Nearest airport

The Faro airport is the closet one (30 min by cab) or the Sevilla airport (then drive 1.30 min to Tavira).

Getting around

A town for walkers!! Traditional Portuguese streets with pebble-stones. Local train line available, walking distance from home. Bring walking shoes! Car rental is available around the corner.

We are a happy couple (no children) who love exploring the world, settling in one place a few weeks/months at a time. We have had successful professional lives and now we want to see more of the world and meet people. I want to learn to paint and love walking the streets of towns and cities. Steve skis in the winter and swims in the summer. We are respectful about other people's places and expect the same level of care and consideration to our house. No pets. Sorry we have allergies. Only children over 7 years old please (due to stairs and rails).
