General overview
Our house is a great family home. We have 4 bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Built in 1995, we recently updated the large kitchen and master bathroom. The spacious master bedroom has corner windows with a view of the Petaluma hills. Its adjoining bathroom has double sinks with stone counters, bathtub and shower surrounds. The toilet area has a door for privacy. There are two more bedrooms upstairs, each with a separate vanity area and a “Jack and Jill” bathroom between. Downstairs, the large open kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel double oven (convection and microwave), double door refrigerator and dishwasher. A central island has a 5 burner cook-top. An adjacent eating area includes a table that can seat six. Both areas overlook our family room with a large TV. There is also a living room, dining room with a table that seats six and a full bathroom. We have a large fenced backyard with a spacious deck with an outdoor table that can fit 6 to 8 people, charcoal B-B-Q and hot tub.
The space
We have four bedrooms, 3 bathrooms plus the 4th bedroom has an office area and couch that converts to a king size bed (on the main level).
Guest access
Our house is a split level with an open floor plan. The kitchen, breakfast area and family room are open to each other. We have a separate dining area and living room. This level of our house has two steps between some of the rooms. Also on the main level is a large room we use as an office/bedroom/playroom. There is a flight of stairs that take you to our primary bedroom with on suite bath room. Our guest room and another office/bedroom (queen futon) have their own vanity and sink, and share a “Jack and Jill” bath room.

Neighbourhood
We are in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood about ½ mile from the historic downtown area of Petaluma. Our town offers good restaurants, a number of craft beer and wine tasting options, antiquing opportunities and so much more.
Getting to my home
If we are exchanging our car we have left it at Oakland Airports long term parking with instruction on keys and location. We could also do the same at SFO. The drive time is similar, about 1 hour.
There are express bus lines from both airports or renting a car might be another alternative.
Nearest airport
Both SFO and OAK airports are 1 hour away.
Getting around
You will want a car to explore the best parts of Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties. If our car as part of the exchange you will have no problem getting around. Otherwise a car rental is another choice. Fairly new is the “Smart Train” which travels to other nearby communities as well.
