General Overview

Our home is the perfect blend of comfortable and modern. It has a really cosy and welcoming feel about it. We love living in this house and in our neighbourhood.

The Space

Our home is a detached three bed home with a front and back garden. We have a living room, dining room and kitchen downstairs with three bedrooms (one being used as a walk in wardrobe currently) and a bathroom upstairs. It is a very family orientated home while still remaining quite stylish. The back garden has chairs for relaxing, a swing and a slide. The kitchen is bright and beautiful with a coffee machine for sampling Cork's best coffee beans. We do have a work from home space should you require it.

Guest Access

There is two floors, upstairs and downstairs. Our guests will have access to the whole home.

Notes

Cork is very well located, it is well known as the People's Republic of Cork as we have a free bohemian spirit with many independent shops, coffee shops and restaurants. We are an hours drive from lovely Killarney and under thirty minutes to the Wild Atlantic Way. We are located on a bus route which will give you access to everything Ireland has to offer. There is Blarney Castle, The Guinness Storehouse, lively Galway just to name a few. We generally ten to enjoy the less touristy parts of Ireland, visiting farms, beaches, kayaking, mountain climbing and enjoying a coffee in the playground at the weekend.

Neighbourhood

We live in a fantastic part of cork City. Minutes away there is many grocery stores, numerous lovely coffee shops, wonderful restaurants and a children's playground. There is a local bus just a two minute walk away that goes directly into the heart of the city. Cork city is wonderful for shopping, hitting the bars and clubs, meandering around the Victorian Quarter or going further afield by catching a bus or train.

Getting to my home

We live just ten minutes from the airport, there are numerous taxi companies and car rental agencies at the airport. It is also very easy to get the train to Cork and then catch the 206 bus to our house or again a taxi.

Hi everyone, we are a family of three and new to home exchanging. We are very excited to start exchanging our beloved family home. We love to travel and experience living in new places in the way the locals do. We have one child, a little boy who is amazing and we want to show him as much of the world as we can. We are very open to where we exchange to. We are very interested in the USA, London, Europe, Japan but would seriously consider anywhere in the world. Being teachers, we are mostly available during the school holidays but can sometimes make other dates work too. We are a very respectful, quiet family who love both city life and time at the beach and in nature. Our neighbourhood is reflective of this while also being very close to all tourist attractions. Our home is ten minutes drive to Cork airport and within just a few hours drive of all other airports in Ireland.
