General overview
An immaculate 1920s house tastefully decorated with original period features, including wood-burning stoves and an aga, is on a quiet street five minutes from the tube and close to Hampstead Heath, with its famous bathing ponds.
The space
Built in 1919 as a show home, in a post-war boom to feed the new Highgate Tube station, The house backs onto the Parkland Walk, a local nature reserve on what was once the train line between Highgate and Finsbury Park. The house is a red brick, five-bedroom, side return terraced house, as is common across London. The house has a kitchen diner at the front with an aga and wood-burning stove. To the rear is a sitting room that overlooks a private paved courtyard garden with BBQ and garden furniture. Upstairs is the master bedroom, a bedroom currently used as an office and the family bathroom. The third-floor houses two further double bedrooms and a further bathroom.
Guest access
The house has three floors and a cellar with stairs to access.

Neighbourhood
The House is situated between Highgate, Crouch End, and Muswell Hill. It has cinemas, a theatre and multiple pubs and restaurants. We are within walking distance of The Parkland Walk, Highgate Woods, Highgate Cemetry (Karl Marx), and Hampstead Heath green spaces. We are a 10 minute walk from Highgate tube on the Northern line and approximately 20 minutes from central London.
Getting to my home
Heathrow and Gatwick Airports are both accessible by the rail network, which links to the underground to Highgate Station. We are then a five to ten minute walk.

Getting around
There is a landrover Freelander included in the swap. Please be aware the car is not a ULEZ compliment, and driving into central London incurred a charge. Alternatively, the underground network is excellent, and local buses can get you to CrouchEnd ( 15 min walk) and Muswell Hill ( 20 min walk). Highgate is walkable ( 10 mins).
