General Overview
A bit about us, we are a young at heart retired couple in our early 60's. Our two boys have flown the nest and one of them has flown very far away and settled in Sydney Australia.
We enjoy going on holidays and meeting people from different walks of life. We love animals and have a gorgeous dog called Vinnie who keeps us active with long walks. We have more time on our hands now and are not tied to school holidays etc, so we are hoping that this site will work for us.
Our home is a beautiful terraced 3 bed Edwardian home in a leafy part of East London.
Lots of lovely restaurants ,coffee shops and some fine British pubs are close by, easily accessed by foot, car, or local bus services.
We are also close to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic park which holds lots of events throughout the year. For nature lovers we are at the southernmost end of Epping Forest land and surrounded by lots of green space and historic parkland.
We have excellent transport links on the doorstep, 30 minute maximum into Central London
I will happily leave recommendations of where to go and what to visit during your stay.
The Space
This is our primary residence and is a good sized family home.
We have 2 reception rooms with plenty of comfortable seating. Both have large screen TVs with full access to a multitude of TV channels, including UK premium sports channels, Netflix, Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime Video.
These rooms each have a Sonos speaker.
Also on the ground floor we have a fully equipped kitchen, dining area with large, extendable dining table, small utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer and a cloakroom.
The house has full central heating, supplemented with a woodburner in one of the reception rooms which keeps things extra cozy.
The back garden has a decked area with ample seating, a small grass lawn and has a well equipped bbq shack ( hubby is a big enthusiast)
Middle floor has 2 large bedrooms, one with a king size bed 150cm x 200 cm and the other with a super king sized bed 180cm x 200 cm. There is a spacious family bathroom and a smaller room I currently use as a dressing room.
Top floor is another generous sized double bedroom ( king sized bed) with an en suite shower room.
Guest Access
The house has 3 floors ( two sets of staircase) guests would have access too the whole house, expect for the first floor dressing room.
There is stepped access to the front door and several steps down to the back garden.
Notes
All the bedrooms have king sized beds so may not be suitable for children or adults that do not want to share depending on the amount of guests travelling. We can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests (no single beds)
Although there is no off street parking there is plenty of parking on the street outside our house. Monday - Friday permits are needed which I will provide.

Neighbourhood
Wanstead is a lovely area to live, showcasing a vibrant small high street with artisan coffee shops and restaurants in abundance and a real friendly ‘village’ feel.
Local bakeries. Butcher, fishmongers and grocers for your everyday needs are on your doorstep.
We are also very fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful green open spaces, parks and woodlands where you can cycle or walk and enjoy watching the wildlife, finishing off with a cup of English tea and delicious homemade cakes at the ‘tea hut’ within the park.
If you’re lucky enough to visit during the month of May you will be greeted with a beautiful spectacle of bluebells which people come from all over to see,
Getting to my home
We have great transport links in Wanstead and surrounding stations, we are on a overground and a tube line and a bus stop practically outside our house.
Easy access from Stanstead which is a 25 minute drive away or Heathrow airport which is straight through on the Queen Elizabeth line ( this takes about an hour)
Nearest airport
Stanstead airport is approximately a 25 mins drive
Heathrow is approximately an hour by train.
Gatwick airport is also around an hour away by car.
All airports are served by coaches, trains and taxis
Getting Around
Most of your daily needs can be found in our local high street which is a pleasant 20-25 minute walk or alternatively a 7 minute bus ride with the bus stop a 30 second walk away!
We have easy access to numerous tube and train lines so to be honest it’s very simple to get around, nowhere is impossible!
Ubers are plentiful too, along with local taxi firms.

Eastern Suburbs of NSW preferred but open suggestions"
