General overview
Our home is a three bedroom and two bathroom apartment on the first floor of a quiet three story building. It has recently been fully renovated with modern finishes and air conditioning in all the bedrooms and living room. The bedrooms face East, while the living room and kitchen face West, providing a beautiful view towards the river and great natural light throughout the home. It's not quite river front, but it's close :) There's plenty of street parking in front of the building and we also have a garage.
The space
The master bedroom with suite has a comfortable 160x200cm bed. The second bedroom has a trundle bed that rolls out into a 160x200cm bed, or can be kept rolled in as a 80x200cm bed. This bedroom also has a sit/stand desk with 28" monitor, keyboard, mouse, and ethernet connection for remote work. The third bedroom has a 90x200cm bed and toddler closet. Both bathrooms have rainfall showers and handheld shower heads.
The apartment is setup for remote work with high-speed fiber internet (500mbps). All the windows are thick aluminum double pane glass that block out noise well when closed and can be tilted open to let in a breeze. The bedrooms have acoustic insulation in the ceilings and neighboring walls to ensure restful sleep.
While we moved in here recently (March 2024), the apartment is well stocked for a family. All the cookware you'd want to whip up meals, comfortable bedding, dining table for 6, and toys for young (2-4 year old) kids. Most of the furniture, like beds and mattresses, were bought new in January 2024.
Guest access
The apartment is on the first floor. There is no elevator in the building.
Notes
We don't own a television at the moment.
We don't wear outside shoes in the apartment.
