General overview
Experience authentic Colorado on our 43-acre ranch at the base of majestic 14,000 peaks in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The ranch has hiking trails, plenty of wildlife, alpacas, goats, and chickens!
After a day of exploring the outdoors, cozy up in the historic home that has been completely renovated with modern amenities. Conveniently located between the picturesque towns of Buena Vista and Salida, we chose this piece of paradise for the same reasons we think you'll fall in love with it!
The space
OVERVIEW:
Watch majestic herds of elk out the window as you sip your morning coffee. Listen to the birds sing as you practice yoga, meditate, or simply stroll along our hiking trails. Enjoy sunset dinners and interact with our alpacas, llamas, goats, and chickens in our one-of-a-kind outdoor dining area. Let your kids, dogs, and hearts run wild as you create memories to last a lifetime. We can't wait to have you experience the ranch for yourself, and we hope the lure of this scenic slice of heaven will bring you back year after year.
THE HOME:
Originally built in 1885, every square foot of this historic home has been remodeled with modern conveniences, including brand new appliances (including a washer/dryer), a fully-stocked kitchen, custom-built furniture made right here on the ranch, along with WiFi, Netflix, and even wireless phone chargers. There are two fireplaces to cozy up to with a good book (of which we have plenty for you to read), and million dollar views that will make you never want to leave.
THE LAND:
Our ranch has numerous hiking trails weaving in and out of trees, alongside seasonal creeks and into peaceful meadows. Relax in our bench swing overlooking the mountains, take a nap in our TreePod hanging hammock, practice yoga as the sun comes up, make s'mores at our outdoor firepit, or play a round of horseshoes. Perhaps most popular of all, meet and interact with our animals!
THE ANIMALS:
If you've never met or had dinner with alpacas, you're missing out. We've built a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining area, which includes a handcrafted dining table with seating for 10, overhead cafe lights, an outdoor bluetooth speaker, and best of all: fencing that allows you to hangout with our alpacas, llamas, goats, and chickens! They'll all come running over and watch curiously as you and your loved ones share a meal you'll be telling all of your friends and family back home about.
THE WILDLIFE:
Certified by the National Wildlife Federation, our ranch provides a safe haven for all kinds of animals, with a combination of pastures, forests, and seasonal streams. We are also bordered by an additional 38 acres of wildlife preserve, which improves your odds of seeing animals pass through. The preserve includes even more hiking trails for you to explore.
