Neighbourhood
My home is in the Secord neighbourhood, an exciting west Edmonton community with easy access to the Anthony Henday and the Whitemud Freeway. Across the street are a couple treed green spaces with short hiking trails. A new walking path around a pond is only steps away. A small park with a playground suitable for younger children is a five minute walk. Three nearby schools have larger playgrounds. There are three strip malls within walking distance, featuring two grocery stores (Save-On Foods and No Frills), Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Canadian Brewhouse, McDonalds, A & W, three gas stations, along with several other shops and restaurants. Nearby is a beautiful public golf course (1.5 Km away), the famous West Edmonton Mall, COSTCO and the River Cree Resort and Casino.
