General overview
My cozy, two storey home is in the west end of the beautiful capital city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
The space
My home features a soaring 18 foot high ceiling in the front entrance and 9 foot ceilings throughout. There is a large great room with a cozy gas fireplace, a bright, spacious kitchen with an island, plenty of counter space and a walk-in pantry. The upper level bonus room (great space for kids to play) has a vaulted ceiling with skylights and large windows. The master bedroom (queen bed) with ensuite, spare bedroom with two twin beds, and full bathroom with tub and shower are also on the upper level. There is an extremely large bedroom (double bed) and newly renovated bathroom with shower in the basement. The dining area door opens to a deck, and a fenced and gated backyard.

Neighbourhood
My home is in the Secord neighbourhood, an exciting west Edmonton community with easy access to the Anthony Henday and the Whitemud Freeway. Across the street are a couple treed green spaces with short hiking trails. A new walking path around a pond is only steps away. A small park with a playground suitable for younger children is a five minute walk. Three nearby schools have larger playgrounds. There are two strip malls within walking distance, featuring a full grocery store, Tim Hortons, along with several other shops and restaurants. Nearby is a beautiful public golf course (1.5 Km away), the famous West Edmonton Mall, COSTCO and the River Cree Resort and Casino.
Getting to my home
By air - Edmonton International Airport is 16 km from my home.
By car - via the Yellowhead Highway from the east or west, via the QE2 from the south, and from the north, Highway 2 or 63.
I am just off the Anthony Henday ring road - great access!
Nearest airport
Edmonton International Airport (CYEG/YEG) is 16 miles (25.75 Km) from my home
Getting around
Uber is very popular, along with taxi companies.
There is also public transit (buses and rail) available.
E-scooter🛴 rentals are plentiful in summer.
