General overview
This is my home I built after living a very nomadic life you could call it. I moved every 6-8 months since I was 18 (mostly because I was poor lol), and this is the first place I have been able to establish as a home, so I take a lot of pride in it. I purchased it and finished much of the remodel from the previous owner. The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed, and sometimes I work from there with my small desk. I leave that closet locked with my personal things. THe second bedroom has a queen size bed adn the closet in there has all kinds of towels and paper supplies, as well as as many pillows and blankets you could need! The living room couch also pulls out and has a queen bed. There is only one bathroom, but I have all kinds of bath salts and bath bombs to have a relaxing evening after a busy day! I also have different hairdryers and styling tools that are available for any guests. With all of my pride in my house, I also take pride in being a great host. I have hosted couchsurfers and plenty of women from girl travel groups. When the weather is nice, I like sitting outside with my morning coffee and reading. I also have a grill outside that is perfect for BBQs with friends. I have a hammock I also like using at Walnut Creek park. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including almost every spice you could imagine! I love my cute little breakfast nook for dining, and anyone who works from home can work at the L shaped desk next to the dining table. I also have lots of puzzles and board games in the hall closet, with some basic workout gear. I have invested a lot in making my house a home and I hope you enjoy things!

I am Sam. I grew up in the rural Midwest, in a small, close-minded community. When I got chronic pain in high school, my mom fought to get me answers and we ended up in the Cleveland Clinic, where I met a Saudi Arabian family that challenged all I thought I knew. Learning Arabic became the avenue for me to leave my small town mindset, and travel provided an outlet for me to learn more than was possible in a town of 3,000 people. I am a single woman, but I train service dogs in America for 1.5 years at a time, and hosted an exchange student for a year most recently. I have called Austin, TX, USA home for most of my adult life, most notably splitting time with Cairo. I have couchsurfed, used trusted women travel groups to both host and travel, and I am excited to join the PLU community!
