General overview

We have carefully renovated our century-old Victorian to maintain it's beautiful character while modernizing the space. Our house is in a neighbourhood of the downtown core, easily accessible to all of the sights Toronto has to offer!

The space

You'll enjoy a large chef's kitchen, spa-like bathroom and bright open bedrooms. Our backyard is a zen oasis for bbq dinners on the patio. Laundry in the fourth bedroom. Attic is being opened up for office use.

Notes

Our cat Charlie Pepper will keep you company if work from home, but mostly want to be outside during the day. He tolerates cuddles ;p

Neighbourhood

Leslieville is a neighbourhood in downtown Toronto. It's a quaint, warm, family-friendly neighbourhood with multi-cultural restaurants and cafes at every corner. Walk to the library, grocery store, mall. We are a 10 minute streetcar ride from all of the best sights in Toronto, including the beaches going east and the CN tower, Eaton centre, aquarium, art gallery, theatres and museums going West. We're a short drive to the zoo, the Science Centre, Canada's Wonderland for rollercoaster enthusiasts and exhibition stadium for soccer or the Ex. A drive to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-lake, a must-see when you visit Toronto! Also Stratford for the theatre in the summer, and many National parks for canoeing, cottaging or camping!

Getting to my home

Fly into Toronto Pearson International airport and take a cab/uber to our house, about 30 minutes drive.

Monika

We are excited to join the community! Myself, my husband Sam and our 10 year old daughter enjoy learning about new cultures and languages. We are hoping to learn Spanish and French next. Our daughter is a terrific adventurer, loves food, architecture and nature as much as we do! Sam loves cooking and I love cleaning so home exchange seems like a terrific way for us to travel! We are both public sector workers, I am in health care and Sam in education. We are new to PLU but have great reviews on Airbnb and have been referred by good friends to this program who can vouch for us.
