Neighbourhood

A true home by the sea - this house is set on a quiet residential street in Cowes. There's nowhere better than Cowes for sailing and water activities. This is the home of Cowes Week, the oldest and biggest sailing regatta in the world. Cowes is a vibrant, exciting place at any time, with sporting and cultural events throughout the year. It's a sophisticated yet cosy resort with the town stretching across the mouth of the river Medina estuary. You can explore Cowes' rich and fascinating history by visiting one of the maritime museums or Queen Victoria's seaside palace in East Cowes. You can enjoy a stroll along the seafront and see boats of every shape and size, or head for the nearby beaches to soak up the sun. Browse the town's famous shopping streets and pick up everything from designer socks to artisan cheese and wine. Pretty pavement cafes, bars, boutique shops and galleries can be found in East and West Cowes, relax over a glass of fizz and then choose somewhere special for dinner, there's nowhere like Cowes after dark!

Getting around

Cowes High Street is located a ten minute walk from the property and here you will find all the shops, restaurants and bars. Cowes beach is a twenty minute walk from the property. There is a bus stop located within 50m which will take you to anywhere on the Island.

Hello! What a fantastic site! It would be myself and my partner Chris who would be travelling together. My little dog Bear would occasionally join us on UK trips only. I have rented my house out via Air BnB for the past five years. I love hosting and sharing my home. The house is all set up for guests and I have received lots of lovely feedback from guests who have stayed. I am a teacher and Chris is a globe maker and so we mostly travel in school holidays. Very occasionally Chris's three teenage sons may join us.
