General Overview

We are fortunate to live on fertile land that gives us great bounty of fruit and vegetables. My wife's art studio surrounded by large windows is a fav spot for our labs and students to paint and relax. With four bedrooms, we have been fortunate to host students from Spain, China, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Easily accessible to Vancouver, Victoria, Garibaldi hiking and Whistler ski resort

The Space

Four bedrooms on two floors. If not simultaneous , 3 bedrooms on upper floor. ( have a suite in basement) Large garden with fruits and veg in season. Fenced back yard in a very quiet friendly neighborhood.

Notes

We have two labs and a cat. Kona works as therapy dog with me and homeless youth and with Sandy in her private art therapy practice. They usually travel with us when we can drive to our destination. Nelson the cat stays home. Our son has a private suite in the basement.

Neighbourhood

We are a few short blocks from a great cycle/ jogging path that skirts Boundary Bay with a view to the US Gulf Islands. A short walk in the other direction takes you to another shoreline that leads you to the premier swimming beach in the Vancouver area. Playgrounds, shallow safe and warm swimming at our doorstep. When the tide is out there are miles of beach to walk and set up your umbrella for an afternoon of relax. Ten minutes from our home is one of the biggest shopping malls in the city. Built on First Nations Land it is filled with gorgeous artwork, fabulous dining and great shopping. Lastly we are also a ten minute drive to our incredible ferry system taking you to the gulf islands and the city of Victoria on Vancouver Idland.

Getting to my home

We are a short half hour drive from the peace Arch border crossing to the US. We are situated 30 minutes south of Vancouver itself so there is no traffic to contend with.

Nearest airport

Vancouver International airport is 35 minutes to the north in Richmond.

Getting Around

Grocery shopping, restaurants are all five minutes away in our little suburb of Delta called Tsawwassen. Buses to the city of Vancouver via the sky train run frequently, so using a car is not necessary.
