General overview
Extended semi-detached house with a gorgeous modern open-plan kitchen/dining. Room to sleep 7. One king en-suite, one double, one single cabin bed and a small double sofa bed in the playroom. We could also arrange for a blow up mattress to be put in the single room.
The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac and is right on the edge of the Peak District National Park which offers beautiful scenery, excellent walking, climbing and mountain biking. Or if you're not the adventurous type, enjoy afternoon tea at one of the many pretty villages dotted around.
The U.K. is so much more than London and Edinburgh and I would challenge anyone to discover the amazing things that the rest of the U.K. has to offer!

Chatsworth House is about 30 minutes away. Go inside a stunning stately home which is still the primary residence of the Duke & Dutchess of Devonshire. Pretend you’re in Bridgerton or Downton! See the wild deer roaming the estate and walk in the stunning gardens plus kids will love the farm and adventure playground

45 minutes in the other direction will find you at Bolsover Castle. Explore this Stewart mansion and learn about British History. There are lots of kids activities on weekends and holidays.

Numerous other tourist attractions are within an hour of the property plus great sporting venues (Etihad stadium, Old Trafford, Headingley, Manchester velodrome). The oldest football club in the world is rumoured to be Sheffield FC!
I’d be happy to suggest an itinerary for your visit based on your interests!
The space
There is an open-plan kitchen/dining area on the ground floor with double doors to the living area meaning that this can be one space or cut off into two. There are bifold doors leading onto the decking where there is a sofa, egg chair, table and chairs and a bbq. Steps lead down to an extremely private artificially grassed area and a fire pit. On the ground floor there is also a utility room, play room and toilet.
Upstairs are 4 bedrooms (1x queen, 1x double and 1x single but can put an additional air mattress in). The fourth bedroom is currently used as an office. There is a large family bathroom and an en-suite shower room to the master.
We also have a very quiet cat who mainly keeps to herself!
Guest access
There is one step into the house with a grab rail and a full flight of stairs within the property with 1 handrail.
Notes
We do have a kitty. She tends to keep to herself but will need fresh water leaving out every few days.

We are a family of 3 who love to travel. We work in the NHS and Events sector and have a 7 year old daughter who is super excited to see new places and learn new cultures.
It will sometimes be the 3 of us travelling but as my husband works away most of the summer it may just be my daughter and I. We might also see if family want to join but will always check prior to the exchange..
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
