General overview
Welcome to our two-bedroom townhouse in a lovely historic area of Yorkshire, where every corner is filled with home comforts and cozy charm. Situated just a stroll away from all amenities, our little abode offers the perfect blend of convenience and comfort. Whether you're curling up with a book, or whipping up a meal in the well-equipped kitchen, you'll feel right at home here. With its prime location in the heart of a beautiful historic town, every outing becomes an adventure waiting to happen.
The space
We like our home comforts so have a smart tv with Netflix and Prime streaming services, living flame gas fire and automatic recliners for cosy nights in. Fibre optic internet and a quest 2 headset to play with.
We have a well equipped kitchen with all the gadgets, but no room for a dishwasher.
Our enclosed garden is small, but very cute with its beach vibe theme. I love to decorate it with all sorts of things to look at and the pots are brimming with flowers in the summer months. . The garden gate leads to our own personal parking space (hard to come by in this town)
The main bedroom has a UK king sized (150 x 200cm) comfortable bed and the room is light due to its double windows overlooking the garden.
2nd bedroom has a comfy single bed with a large smart tv facing it. Other wall is full of my art prints I’m afraid. I use this room for my exercising so it has a mini trampoline, vibration plate and dumb bells which will be put away if children are staying. The bathroom in between has a large walk in shower, but no bathtub.
Guest access
Access from the front and rear of the property via the private car parking area.
The 2nd bedroom is small with a single bed, but we do have a new put up bed that can be put alongside at a squeeze.
Notes
We are happy to look after a cat or two.
We can accept a well behaved small dog on exchanges.
We have no pets in our home.
We are non smokers and wouldn’t want anyone to smoke in our home.

Neighbourhood
A few minutes walk takes you to the centre of the historic popular town where, as well as the two beautiful churches to visit, there are many pubs, restaurants, shops and cafe culture and a twice weekly market. A large Tescos is a few minutes walk away, as well as the main bus station where you can catch a bus to the city of York if you don’t want to drive or get a train. Single bus fares are only £2 until further notice.
In another direction from our home, and in just as short a walk we have a multi screen cinema, train station with good links to London. A sports centre with swimming pool, more shops, ball park, and more cafes and restaurants. Often there will be events held in Beverley,, which is a popular town with visitors. It’s a hidden gem. Most Saturdays in the warmer weather you will see buskers and street entertainers in town.
In town we have the famous Beverley Minster, and St Mary’s Church., both beautiful and very historic buildings, a must see visit. There are many free concerts and other events held throughout the year in the Minster. Other historic sights is our oldest pub s and quirky buildings. We have books telling the history of Beverley on our coffee table for you to read and then explore.
Just outside town and walkable from our house in 15 minutes we have the wonderful Beverley Westwoods, great for walking and picnics, but watch out for our grazing cows who are free to wander in the summer lol. There is a golf course and we even have a horse racing course if a day at the races appeal! If not, maybe a walk along our beck or leisurely barge boat ride might take your fancy!
Surrounded by beautiful countryside where you can find lakes and traditional country pubs in pretty Yorkshire stone house villages, it’s a wonderful place for cyclists and ramblers.
We chose to live here when we moved back from Spain and downsized because we had everything on our doorstep, surrounded by beautiful countryside yet close enough to cities and beaches for a day trip by car. Hornsea beach is our nearest at 12 miles away, but there are several along that coastline to visit.
Getting to my home
Our nearest international airport is Leeds, Bradford, followed by East Midlands and Manchester, London. There are bus and train links to Beverley from all.
Our local Beverley train station is just a 5 min walk from our home.
Nearest airport
Leeds Bradford, (60 miles)then East Midlands or Manchester. Humberside is our closest, but not many flights from there.
Getting around
Walkable to everywhere in Beverley. Excellent bus and train links.
City of Kingston upon Hull. 20 mins by train or car.
City of York. Under 1 hour by car or under 2 hours by bus
London by train 2hours 50minutes
Whitby seaside approx 1 hour 30 by car ( nearer beaches in 40 mins)
We have a private car space at the back of our property for drivers. We have a modern automatic car, but insurance is expensive for add on drivers here, so a car exchange is only possible if exchangers are willing to pay this.
