General Overview
Welcome. We have a comfortable 3 bedroom dorma bungalow in a lovely historic area of Yorkshire, where every corner is filled with home comforts and cozy charm. Situated a 20 minute walk to the centre of historic Beverley, and with a nice pub, corner shop and couple of take away restaurants within 5 minute walk, our little abode offers the perfect blend of convenience and comfort. Whether you're curling up with a book in the sunny conservatory, or whipping up a meal in the well-equipped kitchen, you'll feel right at home here.
The Space
We like our home comforts so have a smart tv with Netflix and Prime streaming services, real wood fire, and automatic recliners for cosy nights in.
We have a well equipped kitchen with all the gadgets, but not a dishwasher.(husband is still undecided on getting one)
Our enclosed garden isnt large, but very pretty.
The main bedroom has a UK king sized (150 x 200cm) comfortable bed and the room is light due to its double windows.
2nd bedroom has a comfy double bed. 3rd bedroom I use this room as my arts & crafts room. The new bathroom has a slipper bath and separate shower.
Notes
We can accept a well behaved dog on exchanges.
We are non smokers and wouldn’t want anyone to smoke in our home.

Neighbourhood
We live in a friendly quiet street and there is a nice pub, corner shop for handy essentials, a couple of pizza take aways and a Chinese take away all within a 5 minute walk. A 20 minutes walk takes you to the centre of the historic popular town, (or you can catch a regular bus within a 5 min walk. The town, as well as the two stunning churches to visit, has all the usual things found in a bustling town centre with numerous pubs, restaurants, shops cafes and a twice weekly popular markets. There is a large Tescos, Asda, and Marks & Spencers supermarket. There is also a main bus station where you can catch a bus to the city of York if you don’t want to drive or get a train.
In another direction from the main town, called Flemingate, we have a multi screen cinema, train station with good links to London and elsewhere. A sports centre with swimming pool, more shops, children's ball park, and more cafes and restaurants. Often there will be events held in Beverley, which is a popular town with visitors. It’s a hidden gem. Most Saturdays in the warmer weather you will see buskers and street entertainers in town.
In town we have the famous Beverley Minster, and St Mary’s Church., both very beautiful and very historic buildings, a must see visit. There are many free concerts and other events held throughout the year in the Minster. Other historic sights is our oldest pub and quirky buildings. You can book exploration and even ghost tours in the town. We have books telling the history of Beverley on our coffee table for you to read and then explore.
Just outside town and within easy walking distance, we have the wonderful Beverley Westwoods, great for walking and picnics, but watch out for our grazing cows who are free to wander in the summer lol. There is a golf course and we even have a horse racing course if a day at the races appeals! If not, maybe a walk along our river beck or a leisurely barge boat ride along it might take your fancy!
Surrounded by beautiful countryside where you can find lakes and traditional country pubs in pretty Yorkshire stone house villages, it’s a wonderful place for cyclists and ramblers. We are also less than an hours drive from our nearest coast and we have some lovely beaches and hillside walks.
We chose to live here when we moved back from Spain because we had everything on our doorstep, surrounded by beautiful countryside yet close enough to cities and beaches for a day trip by car or train. Hornsea beach is our nearest at 12 miles away, but there are several along that coastline to visit.
Getting to my home
Our nearest international airport is Leeds, Bradford, followed by East Midlands and Manchester, London. There are bus and train links to Beverley town centre from all, and a short bus-ride will take you to a 5 minute walk from our home.
Nearest airport
Leeds Bradford, (60 miles)then East Midlands or Manchester. Humberside is our closest, but not many flights from there.
Getting Around
Walkable to everywhere in Beverley. Excellent bus and train links.
City of Kingston upon Hull. 20 mins by train or car.
City of York. Under 1 hour by car or under 2 hours by bus
London by train 2hours 50minutes
Whitby seaside approx 1 hour 30 by car ( nearer beaches in 40 mins)
We have a driveway for cars. We have a modern automatic car, but insurance is expensive for add on drivers here, so a car exchange is only possible if exchangers are willing to pay this.
