General overview

Our home is over 200 years old, with a history that goes back to the French revolution, is surrounded by fields and trees and has it's own little forest park sitting on 17 acres. If lucky you will see the deers that live on our land and the rabbits and squirrels.

Family of four (2 adult daughters, sometimes travel with us) based in the Poitou-Charentes region of France, We live in a 200 year old "chateau" (large manor house in English) with a separate appartment inside the house that gives private accommodation and it's own access. Large park grounds of 17 acres, with small seasonal pond/lake and mini forest. In the warm summer months we have an above ground small pool to cool and play in. We are 1h20 from La Rochelle, and the Atlantic coast. High speed trains access to Paris journey time of 1.30h and we are in easy access to Loire valley castles and theme parks (futuroscope, Le puy de fou and le marais poitevin). Car also can be available.
