Neighbourhood

We lived in this same area 30 years ago and when we returned in 2025, we knew we wouldn't live anywhere else. It's a safe, beautiful neighborhood with mature trees, Victorian architecture and a walk score of 99 out of 100. It is also one of the least foggy areas in the city.

Nearest airport

From SFO, OAK it takes 30 minutes

Getting Around

Walking is the way to go in our area but we are also on major transit lines. We love to take Waymo, too. When we need a car, we use a zipcar which is located right across the street.

I'm Melanie, 63 and my husband Jim is 72. We are retired from our construction related careers (architecture and engineering). Our son is a freshman studying construction engineering. We started PLU in Summer 2024 when we lived in NYC and love PLU... We are amazed at how friendly everyone is! Since then, we have moved and have just finished remodeling our new San Francisco apartment. We hope to be exchanging in late 2025 or early 2026. (Pictures coming soon!) We have three cats. They are very friendly and are relatively low maintenance (except they all want attention). We can board them in certain situations but prefer cat lovers...
