Our north-east facing apartment is 6 years old and was fully refurbished in 2023 (new carpets, paint, euro-style laundry) and is located on the 5th floor overlooking Lake Orr. We recently refurnished with beautiful australian timber furniture and leather couch. This is our primary residence and hope other travellers will enjoy our home and location.
The space
1 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, 1 with bathtub /shower and ensuite with walk in shower and double vanity. Toilet is located in each bathroom. Kitchen has full size fridge, ice maker, coffee machine and usual appliances. Stone bench tops are easy maintenance. European style laundry is available in the unit.

Located on the 5th floor with Lift access to undercover secure carpark.
Notes
Lift access means no hauling your luggage up any stairs. Unit floor plan in on a single level.
We are in close proximity to many Gold Coast surf beaches, shopping/dining precincts, numerous hinterland areas for bush walks, waterfalls and picnics.
Other outdoor pursuits include a day on one of the many Gold Coast golf courses (20+), mountain bike trails, horse riding, standup paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing, heritage walking trails along coastal paths and dunes.
Our complex amenities include pool, sauna, bbq areas, gym, cinema and golf simulator.

There are many more food options in the Varsity CBD area (adjoining Bond University) which is situated across the lake and easily accessible by the footpath beside the lake.
There are lots of walking paths and bikeways from the apartment, and it is relatively flat given the coastal location.
We are closely located, or within easy access to numerous beaches, dining options, shops, natural areas/National Parks and tourist attractions/theme parks.
Getting to my home
We are within easy access to M1 if arriving by car. Undercover, secure parking is available for simultaneous exchanges.
Local Public transport (bus) stops directly out front of the complex to move around the coast.

Our home is 1.2 kms to Varsity Lakes train station that has a direct line to Brisbane CBD and Brisbane airports (domestic and international).
Getting around
We would be happy to leave our e-bikes (2) for guest use and also our car if simultaneous exchanges.

We have just completed our first home exchange with Steve and Tanya at Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast, Qld (Australia).
Their modern Apartment offers a fantastic opportunity to exchange and has stunning lake views, and is complete with anything you might need. The bottle of wine, sourdough loaf and the banana with walnuts loaf was such a thoughtful welcome gift.
The walkways/bike paths around the lake provide a serene and picturesque experience, with the bonus of fabulous coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
The communication by Steve and Tanya was exemplary and I would highly recommend their place for a memorable stay, near the Gold Coast Australia.

It was very well located with views to the ocean and very walkable to everything you would need (cafes, local store, parks, waterfront, Sunday markets, dining options, bar and brewery, fish markets). Very quiet street and comfortable couch and bed made for a very relaxing weekend.
