General overview

Welcome! / Welkom! Our 3-storey brick house with a small garden on three sides is in a quiet, family friendly neighbourhood, Our garden catches the afternoon/evening sun and we have everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. 3-4 bedrooms, suitable for all ages, 1.5 bath, fully equipped kitchen, separate laundry (in the garage). We live on the corner of the block so only have adjoining neighbours on one side. It's not fancy, but we love our family home.

The space

Our home has three floors and a garden with a storage garage and off street parking. Suitable for singles, couples, families or small (respectful) groups. Attic; pull out double sofa bed, small desk, storage space 1st Floor; 3 bedrooms. Master: (180x220). 2nd bedroom: 1 bunk (top only 90x200), 1 pull out for kids. 3rd bedroom: 1 single (90 x 200) with single trundle (pull out) underneath (90 x 200). Bathroom with separate bath, rain shower, double sink and toilet Ground Floor; Fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, closed-in fire place, separate WC Garden with gas BBQ & toys Garage with washing machine & dryer Portable baby crib (camping bed) available on request.

Guest access

Guests would have access to our whole home (except some storgae space in the attic and the garage). While we do our best to clean and tidy everything before we go and make space for you, it is still our home and will contain many of our own items.

Notes

- Please note the stairs from ground floor to bedrooms/bathroom and from 1st floor to attic are quite steep for those with leg troubles. - We no longer have gates on our stairs or bedroom doors. This is someting to consioder if travelling with small chidlren. - We are able to provide a gluten free coeliac/celiac safe kitchen

Neighbourhood

We live in a quiet, family friendly, green neighbourhood. There is a green car-free zone out the front and little playground at the end of the car-free street. There are grocery stores (Plus / Lidl) as well as some take away food options nearby and a little further (bus, car, bike) in town you'll find a shopping mall and plenty of restaurants, cafes, lunchrooms, movie theatres, pubs/bars, swimming pool, parks/playgrounds etc.

Getting to my home

Located with easy access to Amsterdam (30 minutes by bus), Schiphol (40 minutes by bus and train), Edam (cheese), Volendam (fishing), Hoorn, not far from the IJsselmeer (former Zuider Zee). Plenty to see and do! Easy to get around by car or public transport. Free, off street parking.

Nearest airport

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is about 30-45 minutes away.

Getting around

Everything is flat and very easy to walk. We have bikes available and possibly our 7 seater car, depending on where we are and whether we are using it or not. Buses directly to Amsterdam run from the end of our street and the train station (direct link to the airport) is not far by bike/foot/bus too.
