Emma and Sim’s home is wonderful! It is spacious and light, with comfy beds and lots of toys for the kid’s play with. We had a brilliant time playing games together and relaxing in the hot tub. There is also an ice bath which I loved and made me feel (along with the hot tub) like I was on a spa holiday! The house is really well located to explore both Devon and Dorset, with great transport links. Being from a bit further south in Devon it was nice to be able to meet with my family in familiar places but also explore the Jurassic coast in Dorset with ease. Emma made sure we felt welcome and comfortable and was always available to answer any questions. Thank you all so much!
Thanks for the lovely review! It was a joy to host you and your family x
Emma's home is a lovely, spacious house. We loved the bright living room with the open plan kitchen and a view on the garden but also the airy master bedroom was very comfortable. The home is perfect for (young) kids; lots of toys and everything else you need for children. Emma even left out a high chair and a travel cot (even though her own girls are slightly older) which was perfect and very convenient. I think the biggest hit with the kids was the hottub, they jumped straight in after arrival and every day since.
Exeter and Devon offer so much to see and do. City with old town architecture, beaches, waterfalls, steam trains, etc etc. However, the park around the corner is just perfect as well (splash pool, mini skate park, BMX cross track), our kids wanted to go there every day. Emma let us borrow the kids bikes, which was very much appreciated.
Communication was Emma before and during the simultaneous exchange was easy and quick. They were so easy going with any questions we had. We felt very welcome in the home.
We had a great stay at Emma's house.
The contact was easy. The house was very nice.
There was everything you need to play and have fun with children.
The house is very spacious with a well-equipped garden.
In addition, there is a very nice playground near the house with a café perfect for relaxing.
We visited the underground passages of Exeter, the cathedral, we went to the beach, visited a very beautiful waterfall.
The region is quiet, ideal for recharging your batteries with your family.
We loved exchanging with Emma who gave us good advice for our visits.
We have very good memories of our stay.
We have had an amazing time at Emma & Sim's house in Exeter. We had great communication before, during & coming home too.
Their house is as lovely as it looks in the photos, plenty of room & we could each take our dogs to each others homes, which was great!
The house is spotless, but in a homely way. I loved the girls artwork & photos. We felt very comfortable there.
It is a great base to explore Devon & into Cornwall too.
Many thanks for a seamless swap!
It was great to have Emma and her family in our home. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet them in person during the simultaneous exchange but communication before, during and after the exchange was easy. The family volunteered to take care of our dogs during their stay with us and it seemed they all had a great time. They left the home tidy and clean which was very much appreciated (while not easy with two dogs and two kids!). I would host them again any time and would recommend others to do so too!.
Emma and her family took care of our home.
We highly recommend this family who is welcome to stay with us whenever they want.
Thank you all for leaving our home in an immaculate state - probably tidier than when we left!
Emma & family have treated our home with respect & care.
Would thoroughly recommend swapping with Emma & family.
Daisy and her family were fantastic guests. They communicated brilliantly, looked after our home and left it spotless.
Annelot’s home is fabulous. We stayed in July/August and had the best time. The house is spacious and set in a gorgeous garden close to the lake for walks and swims, and only a short bike ride from little towns and villages to explore. The garden has toys and a trampoline, our children barely came inside!
The house has everything you could need, great kitchen, comfy beds and lots of space to sit, play and enjoy time together as a family.
Annelot was fantastic at communicating before and while we were away, we felt very at home. We looked after their dogs who were a joy.
The area has lots to offer. We visited old towns, windmills, a theme park, Amsterdam and lots of pancakes!!
We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend!
Annelot and family were gracious guests in our home. They looked after everything and asked questions when unsure. It was a pleasure to swap with them.
We had a fabulous stay at Selma’s home. The house is big and bright with lots of room, comfy beds and all the equipment you need to feel at home.
Selma was great to organise a swap with and really helpful sending information about the area before hand and while we were away.
The house is in a great location to visit Lille and Belgium cities. It is close to a wonderful supermarket and bakeries.
Selma and her family were great guests. They looked after our home beautifully and were great to communicate with.
We would recommend a swap with Selma.
Anne and Darren's home is a beautiful and cosy space, in a perfect location for exploring the local area. We had a fantastic stay enjoying their home and the many walks and attractions nearby including Dovedale, Chatsworth House, Ashbourne and Gullivers. Anne and Darren were brilliant hosts, and we felt so welcomed during our stay. The communication was great, with many recommendations for places we could visit and lots of information about their house.
Anne and Darren were brilliant exchange partners, they looked after our house perfectly! We would definitely recommend exploring a swap with them, we had a great experience.
