General overview
Welcome to Tegefjäll Kråkbäret 4 A, our charming penthouse in the Swedish mountains.
Our apartment comfortably accommodates six people in three bedrooms, with a cozy living room, fireplace, and newly renovated kitchen. Enjoy a spacious bathroom with a sauna and soak in the stunning mountain and lake views from the balcony.
The ski slope is just 50 meters away, perfect for skiing enthusiasts. Tegefjäll offers family-friendly slopes, a convenience store, ski rental, and restaurant.
In summer, hiking trails are at your doorstep.
Åre village, with more slopes, restaurants, and spas, is just a ten-minute drive away.
The space
The apartment has three bedrooms, each with two beds. Bedroom one has a twin bed, wardrobe, and dresser. Bedroom two has a twin bed, wardrobe, and TV. Bedroom three has a bunk bed with a wider bottom bunk and wardrobe.
The living room has a dining area for six, a seating area with a couch and flat-screen TV, and a wood-burning stove.
The bathroom is fully tiled and includes a spacious shower, washing machine, dryer, and a wonderful sauna.
The newly renovated kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and all necessary utensils and appliances.
Guest access
The apartment is located on the top floor of a building with a total of five units. Our apartment is a penthouse with balconies along both the entire southern and northern walls.
Access to the apartment is via a staircase, unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access available.
The key to the apartment is located in a key box on the premises, eliminating the need for personal handover during check-in and check-out.

Neighbourhood
Tegelfjäll is a cozy and family-friendly ski resort, only a ten-minute drive from central Åre.
The apartment is located right by the ski slopes, offering a more affordable price range compared to other areas in Åre. The neighborhood also boasts a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere.
Most of the ski slopes in Tegefjäll are marked as red or blue difficulty levels. Two chairlifts will take you to the top, while anchor lifts connect Duved and Tegefjäll. The majority of the ski area is located below the treeline, making skiing enjoyable even in windy or low visibility conditions. Many of the slopes are wide and perfect for carving big turns. After a snowfall, the area offers excellent opportunities for forest skiing.
There is a small grocery store, ski rental, and restaurant located right near the apartment for convenient access to necessities and dining options.
Additional restaurants, bars, shops, swimming facilities, cafes, and more can be found in central Åre, just a 10-minute drive away or accessible by bus or taxi.
Getting to my home
There are domestic flights to Åre Östersund Airport, providing easy access to this amazing destination. From the airport, you can make your way to Tegefjäll by renting a car or booking a flight taxi.
If you prefer to travel by train, you can choose to disembark at Åre or Duved and conveniently reach our apartment by bus or taxi.

Getting around
Having a car is the most convenient way to explore this beautiful region, as it allows you to discover the numerous breathtaking mountains located just 30-40 minutes away from Åre. These mountains offer incredible opportunities for hiking, cycling, and skiing, making them well worth a visit during your stay.
However, fear not if you don't have a car, as Tegefjäll and Åre provide everything you could possibly need for a fantastic vacation. From the comfort of our apartment, you'll find nearby amenities, including a grocery store, ski rental shops, and restaurants.

I'm a 33-year-old woman from Sweden who loves traveling and exploring new places. I live on a farm in northern Sweden with my husband Erik and our 8-month-old son Alfred.
Living on a farm keeps us busy with various engaging tasks but whenever we can, we retreat to our apartment in Tegefjäll, Åre. There, we enjoy skiing, hiking, and cozying up in front of the fireplace.
We would be delighted to exchange our mountain apartment with others during our travels.
Over the past 14 years, Erik and I have had the opportunity to travel to many countries and experience different cultures. While most of our travels have been within Europe, we have also had memorable trips to the USA and Japan.
