Neighbourhood
We are steps away from the Snake River. It is an easy walk to the largest Zamboni-maintained ice rink in North America, where you can go skating or play hockey on a frozen lake in the winter. In the summer, it’s a pleasant stroll along the path. You can walk to the Keystone base area.
You can snowshoe along the Snake River bike path. We have 2 sets of adult snowshoes you can use.
We often have 1 or 2 bikes to use in the summer. Just ask before you arrive.
Breckenridge CO-14 miles/25 min drive;
free Summit Stage bus service to all of Summit County (Dillon, Silverthorne, Frisco, ABasin, Breckenridge)
Breck is a lovely town with Victorian architecture and lots of great restaurants. There’s a 100 year old mine where you can pan for gold.
Vail CO-36 miles/40 min drive
A little bit about the resort:⛸️⛷️🏂
* keystoneresort.com-everything on mountain conditions, maps, lessons, things to do can be found here
* on google maps, we are 1.4 miles, 5 min, from the base (Mountain Home)
* Keystone is one of the few resorts that offers FREE parking at River Run Gondola Lot. However, the shuttle is very convenient so we like to take advantage of it.
* If you’ve never skied or snowboarded and would like to try, Keystone has an excellent reputation for beginners. Here are a few articles to learn more.

Getting around
During ski season, you can use the free Keystone ski shuttle. The shuttle (bus stop) picks up in the parking lot. It runs every 20 minutes and the ride is approximately 10 mins.
There is a local bus called the Summit Stage that covers Summit County. You can take it to Breckenridge. It is free of charge.
We are also close to Breckenridge, Copper, and Vail, plus numerous regional ski resorts. (Loveland, A Basin)
The nearest, full service grocery store is a 10 minute drive. It is called City Market and is in Dillon CO.
🐈 We are happy to consider swapping with homes with pets but have more success with pet-free homes. We love animals and have owned many. Unfortunately it is better for our health to stay in homes without pets.
