*Our preference is for reciprocal exchanges of 1-2 weeks.
………………..
Our home in the Seaview Neighborhood of West Seattle offers sweeping views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Our street is private and safe, yet we are located within an easy walk to Lowman Beach, Lincoln Park and numerous restaurants. We are a short e-bike ride from Alki Beach and the ferry to Vashon Island and the Kitsap Peninsula. Downtown Seattle is a short water taxi ride away via Alki. Seattle is within an hour of the Cascade Mountains, with great skiing and hiking opportunities. If you are looking for the best of both worlds: city amenities with the coziness of a west coast beach town, you will love staying in our home.
We will have the home professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. We ask that guests pay a $200 cleaning fee to cover a second cleaning after your departure. This fee partially covers the cost of our cleaners.
The space
Our home is located on a private street and offers an open-concept floor plan on the entry level, with sweeping views of the Puget Sound from every room of the main living space. Trust me when I say that photos don’t do this view justice!
………………..
Accommodations:
Primary bedroom- king sized bed, en-suite bath, skylights, attached ocean view deck, TV (sleeps 2)
Two children’s bedrooms- separated by a sliding door, each with a twin-sized bed that can convert to a king-sized bed (sleep 2-4)
Family room- queen-sized sofa bed, TV (sleeps 2)
Additional sleep options- full-sized futon, queen-sized air mattress, twin-sized air mattress (sleeps up to 5 additional guests)
………………..
The primary bedroom, laundry and a small sitting room are upstairs. Furnished decks can be accessed from both the living room and primary suite.
We are offering use of two small children’s bedrooms on the first floor, separated by a barn-style door. Both children’s bedrooms contain twin-sized daybeds that can be converted to king-sized beds, if needed (see photo). Children’s bedrooms are across the hall from a full bathroom.
The airy primary suite has vaulted ceilings and skylights, with sliding doors that lead to a covered patio. The upstairs bathroom has a jetted tub, two sinks and a shower.
Notes
Our home has five bedrooms, but we are currently offering four for exchange: the primary suite, two children’s bedrooms and the family room. Our oldest child requests that their space not be used for exchange, so this room will remain locked during your stay.
During reciprocal exchanges, we are open to allowing the use of our 2015 Fiat 500L.
We are planning to travel to Europe during the summer of 2025 and are flexible on exact destinations.

Neighbourhood
Seaview is located on the western side of West Seattle, facing the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. You can watch cargo ships, sailboats and ferries float by from both levels of the home. On occasion, one of the resident orca pods can be seen swimming in our stretch of water.
The neighborhood is full of West Coast character. Every home is as unique and vibrant as the people living there. This is not a cookie cutter US suburb!
Walk to the nearby beach to enjoy paddle boarding, picnicking or even scuba diving (if you’re willing to brave the chilly ocean waters). Walk a bit further, into Lincoln Park, to find a playground, wading pool, trails and sport courts. During the summer, you can enjoy Lincoln Park’s public saltwater pool.
We can offer two e-bikes and two inflatable stand up paddle boards for your use. We are a 10-15 minute bike ride from sandy Alki Beach, with tons of restaurant, coffee and entertainment options. The Junction, West Seattle’s downtown area, is within easy walking or biking distance, as well. In the junction, you will find tons of dining options, great bakeries, local shops and a year-round Sunday farmer’s market.
Getting to my home

Getting around
If you are looking to enjoy West Seattle’s beaches, parks and restaurants, you can get around via bike, walking or Uber. Get into downtown on the bus or water taxi. If you are looking to explore the mountains or nearby areas, you will want to rent a car.
