I had a wonderful stay at Sandy's home in Berry while Michael was walking the Camino in Spain! Over the Easter long weekend I had a friend and my two sons (who are both in their 20s) stay with me - they decided they weren't too old for an Easter egg hunt in the beautiful garden! We also walked from Gerringong to Kiama and got the train back, sampled some local produce at the Berry farmers' market, the Crooked River Winery, Berry Donut Van and the Treat Factory. We enjoyed Saturday night at the Berry Hotel. The Berry Museum has a great collection of artefacts and the local history of the town is fascinating. When the others left, I stayed on by myself to use the house as a base for work on the South Coast, and got to feel like a local. Between meetings I had catch ups with friends who live in the area - one for an amazing set 3 course meal with matching wines at South on Albany and the other for coffee at Milkwood Bakery. The local Rotary club is very prominent in the town and you see signs about their projects everywhere. As a Rotarian myself I was impressed, so got in touch with the Club and was welcomed at their weekly dinner meeting at the Bowling Club - an excellent way to meet community minded locals! I would highly recommend a stay at Sandy's home and an explore of Berry and surrounds.

What a privilege it was to stay at Sandy’s beautiful home in Berry. We’re so grateful for her generosity in sharing a house that is perfectly located right in the heart of town, yet tucked away on a quiet back street - peaceful, but still an easy stroll to all the lovely shops and cafés. That said, we barely wanted to leave the house at all! It is incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully set up and simply a joy to be in. The bedrooms were cosy and welcoming, and the swimming pool and trampoline were absolute highlights - not just for our little one, but for the adults too! I honestly lost count of how many laughs we shared over the weekend. Although it was just a short trip away from Sydney, it truly felt like a proper holiday. We came home feeling recharged and refreshed. To top it all off, we happened to be there during the monthly Berry Sunday Market - one of my favourites. It feels much more local and less commercial than many markets in Sydney. For anyone planning a visit, I’d definitely recommend checking the market schedule. Thank you, Sandy and family, for such a wonderful stay. We wish you all the very best and would absolutely love to exchange again in the future.

Graham and I had a lovely stay in Sandy’s beautiful home. It was so comfortable and styled in a luxurious way. The gardens were delightful; full of sculptures and quirky details. Whilst we were out and about each day, it was always a pleasure to come back to Sandy’s home. Berry is a lovely town and the surrounding areas worth visiting and exploring. We highly recommend a stay in Sandy’s home.

Oh my goodness, this exchange at Sandy and Garry’s home in Berry nsw was so fantastic. It was swap number 12 for our family and it really topped out as the best home we’ve stayed in. The house itself is so luxurious and comfortable and has such a great feel about it. The pool and gardens are stunning and we thouroughly enjoyed our time here. The town of Berry is so quaint and a real gem to see. There is plenty to do and the nearby beaches and ocean pools of gerringong and Kiama and Werri are beautiful. Communication was open and easy in preparation for the swap and during the stay. Thank you to these wonderful hosts for opening up their slice of heaven for others to experience.

We have just had a wonderful week in Sandy and Garry's gorgeous home! It is beautifully decorated and has all the modern conveniences. Very spacious with 4 large bedrooms. Plus our grandchildren had a ball on the trampoline and in the heated pool. I even went down the waterslide! Berry is a fabulous spot for shopping and has the best playground I have seen anywhere, catering to all ages and agilities. We also went to the beach at Shoalhaven Heads, ten pin bowling in Bombaderry, did some bushwalking at Drawingroom Rocks and visited Kiama blowhole. We have so much more in the area to explore.
