We are in love with our house. We are aware that there are different houses and that if we were millionaires perhaps we would find a better one but right now we are delighted with it. After more than ten years looking for a new house in our neighborhood, we have finally bought! It's just the home we wanted and I don't mean figuratively; I mean that we were looking for exactly the home we bought. It is super quiet and at the same time well located. One part overlooks the garden of a school and the other overlooks the community pool. It is super relaxing to sit on the terrace and watch the trees swaying in the wind. It has a large living room and kitchen, two recently renovated bathrooms, both with windows to the outside, and three bedrooms. We also have a very convenient parking space although it is very easy to park on the street. In addition, our house has a wonderful covered terrace with tables and chairs for outdoor dining. We have heating and air conditioning, a very large TV and pay channels. We are not from the town, we have been living here for 18 years but we like it so much that we bought this house right in the same neighborhood as the previous one. It is very close to Valencia but it is still like living in a town (in fact it is a town). In summer, people go out at night with chairs to the numerous parks to chat and cool off while the children play. Our pool is great for me who is almost allergic to the sun. At any time there is a large shaded area, which is unusual but for me essential to enjoy the pool peacefully. As I said, the living room faces a super quiet street where cars pass by from time to time. The only thing you will hear is the children and the teachers during school hours. In 20 minutes by car you are anywhere: on the beach, in the center of Valencia, etc. Although I highly recommend that one day you stay in the neighborhood for lunch or dinner and visit the cave houses and the Paterna tower, which is a five-minute walk away. The only drawback of our house (perfection does not exist) is that the metro stop is a 15-minute walk away. This means that it takes 40 minutes in total to get to, for example, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Valencia, that is, 15 minutes walking, 15 minutes by metro and about ten more minutes walking. The other option is to park in one of the parking lots that the metro stations have and thus avoid the 15 minutes. Because obviously parking in the center of Valencia is only possible for a fee.

My name is Sergio and my wife Mariu and we have two wonderful daughters; Eva is 14 years old and Sofia is 11. My wife is a midwife at Hospital la Fe and I work in a City Hall although my profession is journalism. We have always been scouts and we continue to be and now so do our daughters. I have no doubt that anyone who has been a volunteer monitor in a scout group like us will undoubtedly know what kind of people we are and vice versa. We have traveled a lot and now what I like most is discovering the wonderful little corners that most places in the world have (and geocaching.....) We are tremendously hospitable and I know every corner of Valencia. We like mountain sports (climbing included) and the sea (underwater photography is one of my passions).
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
